Quote:Ohio St. is a legit top 10 team. Who they do or don't player doesn't change that.It is very hard to tell..since they play such a soft schedule. It would be interesting to see OSU play Georgias schedule

Quote:Right, because the voters voted it that way which you used to back up your previous argument. Why is it so hard to understand that you contradicted yourself? There is no contradiction. The scenarios are vastly different.
Quote:FSU was 64 and Louisville 98 before the season started.A bit better, yup. A schedule ranked 64 and still playing 4 ranked teams means that level of the remainder of that schedule is absolutely dreadful. I'd have to go back and make sure one of those teams wasn't a HS team.
FSU plays currently 4 ranked teams. Maryland, Clemson, Miami, Florida.
Louisville plays no ranked teams unless I'm missing something.
A bit better? I'm not saying we have a hard schedule, but man, just admit when you say something that is wrong.

Quote:Maryland wasnt thought to be as good as they are. Our schedule strength probably increased. I doubt that is the case for Louisville. If one team plays 4 tough opponents and the other plays 0, that isn't a close schedule. Like I said, just admit when you are wrong.I agree, Maryland is helping their case right now.
Quote:??? Scenarios? They vote on every team. The scenario isn't different. Either voters votes mean something or they don't. You can't use voters to back up your argument and then throw it out when the voters don't support your argument. Man Trav, you are a piece of work. The specific question asked was how does UF jump Michigan after beating Ky. Completely different scenario from Florida jumping an idle Michigan team. I will add, I think it sucks when your team loses a spot or two after a bye.

FSU didn't move, because they didn't lose, even with a poor performance against BC.

Quote:Beating kentucky is like having a bye week. They lost to western kentucky... So the voters back you up, but then they don't when it comes to the Noles... Like I said, just admit when you are wrong.Except UF didn't have a bye week.
Quote:Except UF didn't have a bye week.Let's not forget, FSU played BC. They're terrible and gave them a run for their money, off week for them too then?
And yes, completely different scenarios.
Quote:I know UF didn't have a bye. My point was beating a crappy team isn't in my opinion a reason you should move up unless a team ahead of you lost. It's not a concrete thing whatsoever. Particular giving the cirumstances with the original question this stems from that this derived from. I disagree with what the rankings are all the time. I am not sure there is a person in America who ever agrees with the whole poll as is from week to week.
No it isn't. The voters voted for each team, that included the Noles and gators. They felt the Noles, even after a close game with BC is the 8th ranked team. Period, end of story. So you either value the voters opinion in backing up your argument or you don't.

FSU benefits from having started the season where they are, if they don't lose, they won't drop. That's how it is. It is a different scenario, again, with what occured with UF and Michigan.
Quote:You may agree with the voters ranking florida higher, but to use them as a basis for your argument when you disagree with them all the time is contradictory. Man, how are you not getting this? If the voters are wrong many, many times then they could be wrong ranking florida higher. You may agree with them in this particular instance, but it does nothing to support your argument. Is this sinking in at all?I originally said believe what your eyes see. Backing it up several posts later with the voters agreeing with my assessment. The voters was never the basis of the argument. They sure may be wrong voting Fl. higher right now, but based on the play of both teams, I doubt it. You took one statement and ran with it. Either missing, or completely avoiding the posts before.

Not to mention a situation in which why what occurred help what occur.
Quote:Whew, only took you 3 pages to admit you were wrong. I commend you. Normally we go on for 16 pages. Baby steps...I'll let you think what you want.
