With all the consecutive losing seasons, mediocre coaching staff, poor drafts, relocation rumors, constant Tebow talk, and media hate, it makes me wonder if the Jags will ever be as good as they were in 1995-2000, and 2004-2007. I know that other teams like the 49ers, Colts, Texans, and even the Patriots have all gone through this phase before, but this is just brutal what this team and our fanbase has been going through these last few years.

I hope that there are some other fans, from other teams out there who can offer words of encouragement to our fanbase.

1. Get a Quarterback

2. ???

3. Profit!

The Jaguars will Rise Again.  We've been unfortunate to have two poor General Managers in a row.  Shack left our QB situation in a hot mess.  Gene Smith did little to clean it up.  In the current era of football, QB is by far the most important position on the field. Runningbacks and Defense have lost a lot of relevance since the league decided passing games sell better, and they can spin it as 'making the game safer'.  We need a Quarterback.  Someone who can throw the ball further than 5 yards when it's 3rd and 52.

Not if you lack a high tolerance for alcohol.

NEVER!! MUAHAHAHA

Can't get any worse than dead last. If I was a bettin man I'd say we at least improve to 2nd to last by the end of next season.

Maybe if you whine a little more?

It's tough, but hang in there.

I can completely understand with being frustrated by the fact that we all generally believed "it couldn't get any worse" every year since 2010.

It will get better only if they get Bridgewater

1984 to 1994 was a rough time to be a Colts fan. We went to the playoffs once and the 87 strike had a huge assist in that.

We heard the Colts were relocating to LA and for a while even Cleveland was a hot landing spot. All I know is that the fans have to show up, and that is tough when a team is struggling. We were fortunate that even through our bad years, in a small stadium, that we were selling over 40,000 tickets a game. I believe the ticket sales during the bad years had a huge impact and saved us.

I also believe that if it were not for Peyton Manning becoming a Colt; we would already be in LA.
The tide has turned..we finally have had a decent draft and things will get better. Items on the shopping list need to be a real live NFL QB, help in the O-line and a pass rush off the edge.  I think we are 2 or 3 years out..closer than many on the board believe!!!

Except for the 49ers making the super bowl last year, both teams havn't done much the last 10 yrs. Since '99, both the colts and patriots have missed the playoffs only twice. Talk about consistency. Yeah, both teams could have won more titles, but it's nice to be in the hunt year after year.

What will it take for the jags to get there? A good GM, good scouts, good coaching, good players, (QB) and a bunch of intangibles. Not every team can be great, otherwise every game would be 3-3.

Not yet......
Texans had no playoffs for the first decade.  They are just recently successful.  We have been out of the playoffs for 6 seasons now.  I don't think we make it to 10 before we're back in it.

Man up Nancy Boy, the few bad years here don't compare to the Bucs, Lions, Bengals or Saints of days gone by.

What a pathetic thread.
Gabbert is our Curtis Painter and we're gonna ride him all the way to Teddy B.

And the Saints and Seahawks and Giants and Packers.

It happens to every team. It just really feels crappy when you're at rock bottom but it'll make getting better that much more enjoyable.
This is no time to wallow in despair, for the first time in a long time we are truly rebuilding! No more talk about we are a few players away from the playoffs. We were told it would take three years to rebuild and now everyone is crying because we are 0&3. We gutted the rooster and started with a good draft. Next year we will get a quarterback, improve the offensive line and then we will begin to see the results of rebuilding the right way. Like the Seahawks we are building with young players so when we are a contender we will have success for a long time. No coaching staff can have success with an offensive line like ours! Khan  has assembled a good front office and coaching staff and in a few years the media will be shouting his praises. This year I’ll get by watching the young players develop, and there will be improvement especially on the defensive side of the ball.  Unreal expectations are the formula for disappointment.
