We'll suffer loss after loss from the horrendous personnel & mismanagement of Gene Smith.
This year Caldwell& Gus gets a pass. Rome wasn't built overnight. We had the worst GM in the history of the NFL in Gene.
Let Caldwell build HIS team with HIS QB. The talent isn't here now. We'll have the opportunity to draft a Franchise QB in 14 (Bridgewater), hopefully
We will be a very good team I believe with Gus & Caldwell.
This team is so bad I wouldn't be surprised if they lost their pen when trying to write down the player's name with the 1st overall pick.

He was not good, and there were many questionable picks, but there have been far worse general managers than Jene Smiff.

Megatron was a no brainer, but how about the three WR's he took in the first the previous three years?

He selected a PUNTER over Russell Wilson. He thought Gabbert was a franchise QB. He Alone set this team back 5 years.

I don't know enough GM's around the NFL to argue names with you but the decades of suck in Cleveland leads me to believe someone up there was worse. Same for Detroit, Oakland, Bucs, Bengals

I'd think that has more to do with those owners. I'm not familiar with their situations exactly but I'd guess they didn't keep the same GM throughout the decades. If we kept Gene Smith for 20 years it would be U-G-L-Y

I agree with the OP. This is gonna be a horrible season, but you can't put all the blame on Gus and Dave. They inherited TRASH. Lets just hope they play garbagemen and take it all out at the end of the season.

We look like a Div. I I - III college team going against NFL talent....OH wait.....That was the"genius" favorite place to fill our roster.
The expansion Jaguars would be favored by 7 against this team. Gus and Caldwell will get Their players and we'll be good again
