Don't worry everybody, I fixed the new board now!

Also: Having a tasty Chicharita.
Moscow mule, crown and coke, jack and coke, bloody mary(hair of the dog for hangovers), then any type of decent beer... think that about wraps my input to the last booze thread up.
I've been on a jack and coke kick.

But im missing my old smokehouse moonshine I'm out of
I'm heeeerrrrreeee!!! and I'm drunk. There goes the neighborhood. Crown and Coke thank you. Props to all on the new board. Thanks.
Good ol' banquet beer for me tonight. Maybe a whiskey cocktail after halftime of the NBA game.

It's a good cocktail if you like Fernet Branca and you like Scotch.

Named after folk singer/songwriter Leonard Cohen.  It's a twist on a prior cocktail called the King Cole which featured bourbon  instead of Scotch.

Had one in at the Fairmont in San Francisco a few years back.

It's pretty sweet right? The branca is like French amaretto, plus it has syrup in it. So I'm thinking it will be sweet. Gonna have to give it a try next time I'm out

A simple no would have sufficed  Tongue

Not terribly sweet.  There's a 1/2 oz of simple syrup in there, but the Fernet is more "herbaceous" than sweet or nutty,  and scotch is not exactly the sweetest of whiskeys.

I'd try it anyway. You can always ask the bartender for a splash more simple syrup if the smoky scotch and herby fernet are too overbearing.
Currently enjoying a crisp, delicious, perfectly crafted Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. Or two. Or many more.
I took a beer tour tonight:

Longboard
Dos Equis XX Amber
Lienie Summer Shandy
Can of Bud Ice leftover from a party.

Wasn't bad.
A beer called Guns n Oil and a Texas brew called Ziegenbock are my go to.
Red wine in a sturdy flagon. Stemware need not apply.
Working on a bottle of Eagle Rare bourbon- it's good but I like Basil Hayden better. Played golf with a friend last week and he broke out a flask of Bib and Tucker bourbon and it was very, very good.

The other guy had some Fireball...we stayed with the B&T.
Did somebody say booze?
