I consider Williams the FB to be an interior lineman.

From the sounds of it, it doesn't appear that either one is going to be playing guard regardless of who wins the starting LT position.

There's a lot of speculation being thrown about about the starting 5 to be sure, and why not?  It's June with at least 3 spots having some degree of competition taking place.

Still - when it all quiets down a bit in early August I'd be willing to bet we see Cam Robinson getting work at LG. No idea if he earns a start there or not, but I really think they'll give him a good look there. I think they'd be foolish not to if they are sincere about getting the best 5 guys on the field.
Robinson is too talented to sit on the bench. If Albert starts at LT, I can't imagine seeing Robinson on the sideline.

I don't see playing a guy out of position as being an effective way to utilize that talent.  I definitely don't think it's a transition that's as simple as just plugging him in there.  I could see him sitting on the bench learning the NFL game in anticipation that we drafted him as the long-term solution at LT, and not an immediate insertion into the line regardless of where that might be.

This  ^ really is the question they'll have to answer in camp.

Is he capable of adapting to the guard position enough to beat out a few lower-tier veterans with NFL starts under their belt at the position? (Watford, Omameh, Reed, Shatley, maybe Cann)
He'll need to take quickly to a fair amount of pulling on run plays and some different gap assignments he may not be super-comfortable in.

My (probably annoying by now) echo is that they will at least attempt to find out if Robinson has this skill set or not  -- and he could potentially win the spot. It's by no means a sure thing.

Why? Doing so doesn't make any sense.

I can't picture them wasting Cam's talent on the bench even for a down.

I agree with NYC that they'll get a good look at him at G at some point, however, I predict he'll see even more time at RT eventually taking the spot from Parnell who has been getting flat out whooped by Campbell.

I mean, we did See Jack on the bench far too long last season when there was a clear need to get SKuta off the field
