I grew up with guns but never fired one as an adult until I enlisted into the Army. I guess you can say my first weapon (we were forbidden to calls them guns) was an M16 A2. Of course it wasn't technically mine but I lived with it for the duration of boot camp. When we were in the field we had to sleep with it in our sleeping bags.

Now I have a 1911 .45 I keep in the living room, a shotgun that stays next to my bed, and a .308 rifle I received as a gift a few months back. My husband is looking for a small .45 I can CC when I get my permit. I prefer .45 over 9mm. One shot will do more damage, and as a female who has never taken a self defense course, I need stopping power if someone comes at me and I want it to be with as few bullets as possible in case of a malfunction.

My husband has a 9mm Shield for CC, a 9mm for the house, a hunting rifle and something else. I honestly don't remember what it is.

Mossberg 500

Mossberg .270

S&W M&P AR15

S&W M&P 9mm

S&W M&P Shield 9mm

S&W 640 airweight in .38

Mossberg .22 plinkster

Marlin .22

Winchester 30/30

And I think I'm missing a couple...lol

A few from my grandfather that I'll never be able to shoot...

And my favorite. Hi Point 9mm carbine, the Columbine gun. Thing has taken a beating, never been really cleaned good. I bet it's got 10k rounds through it and never had a problem.

Next up, a .308, an AK, and a 1911. Because, you can't pistol whip someone with a polymer pistol.

Not a fan of Glocks, they feel like a 2x4 in my palm. Just not a very ergonomic gun in my opinion.

I've just made a list of people I'm not going to tick off on the board...

I just made a list of folks who I'm going to sell ammo to. Wanna get together and compare lists?

Sounds like a plan!
I have a list of people on this board that have ticked me off...can we all three compare list?

No, we didn't write our lists in crayon.
I don't have a gun. I have a mean looking knife though.

I didn't use a crayon for my list.  I used a Sharpie on the chalkboard.

Butter knives look mean in your country?

Oh, well then that's totally different.
I need a new eraser though...apparently mine is broken.

I'm talking about the chef's knife. The butter knife looks mildly perturbed.

Whiteout works wonders.
I had a good friend that ran a pawn shop for years. Was always calling me with mega deals. I simply have to many to list. Some would call it a freakish hoard. Probably 25-30 long guns , 20-25 hand guns of all different sizes. Literally a closet full of ammunition. Funnest but about the most worthless for anything practical use is the Desert Eagle .50 cal.

The chef is going to more than a little perturbed when he finds out you have his knife!

The handgun that fires a round designed to take down aircraft has no practical use? Surely you're joking, good sir?
Never been within 5 feet of a gun in my life.

Would love to shoot deer or something sometime though.
My gun of choice remains the Super Soaker CPS 2000.
