Doesn't look like the DNC will be moving to the middle. In fact, they are moving in the opposite direction of the swinging pendulum. With Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren taking control of the party, they are moving into unprecedented territory. Now it appears that they may be placing a far-left Muslim radical as the leader of the DNC...oh boy. The Jim Webb/Blue-Dog Democrats were already abandoning the party in mass, I guess they are saying 'buh-bye' permanently.

Consensus Builds Around Keith Ellison for DNC Chairman

Will the DNC Actually Select A Muslim Brotherhood Supporter As Its Chairman?

It is getting so bad that the more moderate wing may be possibly branching out of the Democrat party all together. No bueno.

Democrat Disaster: Former Clinton Labor Secretary Robert Reich Threatens Creation of Third Party

2018 just might be a bloodbath.
Seems like a strange way to try reboot the party and win back voters.

Calling Keith Ellison a radical is about as dishonest as you can be!
Granted, I'm no expert on Keith Ellison but the guy presents himself as even-keeled.

Did anyone watch This Week yesterday which played a segment from over a year ago of the entire panel heartily laughing at Ellison when he ventured that Trump had momentum and could get the Republican nomination? He definitely has a feel for politics.

Probably the most apt description.

How is Ellison radical?
Quote:Probably the most apt description.

Interesting description for a supporter and defender of Louis Farrakhan, who also has multiple connections with the Nation of Islam, also implied Bush orchestrated 9/11, and proudly supports CAIR, which has many shady and disturbing ties to terror organizations.

If that is who the D's want to represent them though, go for it.

What ties does CAIR have with terrorist organizations?

This is a pretty good article explaining it.

They have even been labeled a terror organization by the United Arab Emirates government.

UAE is such a beacon of democracy.

Forgive me for dismissing their labelization.

Not true according to this article.  He's way more far left than Elizabeth "Pocahontas" Warren and Bernie "Socialist" Sanders.

Maybe he is radical because he is anti NAFTA.

Actually if your read where he stands on key issues there isn't a lot that separates Trump from Ellison.

Mostly in the 2nd amendment area.
Trump is left wing in a lot of policies. That's why it's funny when his supporters bang on about the left.
Here's the problem with Trump's America: If someone is Muslim, the standard behavior is to now presume they're radical. Dude, that's [BLEEP]. Complete [BLEEP].
Good.  The Democrats need to move left.  Support the people, instead of corporations.  A moderate candidate isn't going to get out the vote.  People like change, not the status quo.

Also I find it funny that the party of conspiracy theories galore (including ones about 9/11) call out someone for saying that Bush 'had something to do with 9/11'.  Apparently it's okay to say Sandy Hook was a false flag, but not 9/11.  (BTW: What Ellison really said was that Bush took the tragedy that was 9/11 and used it to take action they couldn't have before.  Like the Patriot Act for example.  I thought Republicans hated the Patriot Act.  Or is it AOK that we're being spied on now that Mein Drumpf is in charge?)

Anyone saying Sandy Hook is a conspiracy aren't about to be the head of a leading national party. He literally compared the Reichstag Fire to 9/11. All the while being a huge supporter of the Nation of Islam and Louis Farrakhan. The guy is as radical as they come.

I don't think moving left is going to help the D's. Their identity politics, which is rooted in far-leftism, failed this election. The further they move left, the less likely they will win elections. Instead of becoming more radicalized, it would benefit them to move towards a more moderate, Jim Webb-style Democrat party. That is a party I and many others can support. This current abomination they are building will only appeal to the fringes.

Also, for the love of God, get rid of George Soros. Nothing will change, and it screams establishment, to let this guy basically control your leaders.

Feigning Reform, Dems Recoup With George Soros and Wealthy Donors
The far left politics only failed because Bernie Sanders wasn't well known enough to beat the Hillary Clinton machine.  It came close though (Despite the DNC helping her).  Hillary wasn't progressive enough for voters, and it's why most of them didn't come out to vote for her.  Voter turnout was down by a lot, especially in areas where she needed wins.  The Democrats you'd support are DINOs.  Heck, HIllary was a DINO for that matter.  You're not going to support a liberal, unless they're basically a conservative.  And that's not really the votes we should be after.  For every vote you take from Trump, you probably lose a vote to third party.  I'd have probably considered voting for Jill Stein over Hillary if she stood a chance, and if she hadn't chosen a nutjob as a VP showing poor judgment.

You sound radical yourself.

The line between liberalism and communism is so thin, it is indistinguishable. Liberals are just too ignorant to realize that Moscow isn't Utopia.
