That being said, Chad Pennington had no velocity either and he was able to win at this level.  Will have to see what happens.

The difference is Pennington was accurate.

The weird party is how the flag got thrown about a minute after the play ended. It was as if the league buzzed the ref and told him the game needed to start going better for the texans.

They showed Ngakoue tap Watson's helmet well after the play, like many players do after plays.  With the timing of the flag I'm convinced that was, somehow, the reason for the call.

It was still a BS call anyway you look at it. But whatever. We still got the win.
I thought he looked a lot like our QB.
That phantom roughing the passer call was horrible. Yannick came in and blasted him in the chest, textbook as of now. The commentators were like "oh ok let's look at this hit to the he.... wait, uhhh". That's a really bad call when the commentator that was all over the jockstraps of the Texans all game couldn't find why the flag was thrown. It's stuff like that that makes people think the NFL is rigged.

Um, they aren't the same race and wear different numbers. Blake Bortles actually has some arm strength to brag about.

DeShaun Watson doesn't bite his tongue
He's going to be out of league in 5 years. Theres nothing to like about his game besides his escapability from the pocket.
DeShaun OneHopson

How many passes went into the dirt 2 yards in front of his WR?

If he didn't have wheels, the kid would have been savagely awful.
He was exactly what I expected him to be.

I was so glad they took him instead of Mahomes.

He may develop into a decent QB -- but I don't think you can ever task him with sitting in the pocket and making three reads and getting the ball there on time. He's not that guy. (as mentioned -- kind-of like Blake)

Give him one or two quick reads and let him run a bit and he could get it done decently. He'll need an actual offensive line at some point though. LOL.

With his low arm strength and accuracy issues I can't see him ever being considered a good QB. I wouldn't be surprised if he's forced to become a wr in the future if he wants to continue in the NFL.

Mahomes was gone when they traded up for Watson.  But I am glad they didn't get Hahomes too
Just a guy. That may work for some teams. He's not as good as Tyrod Taylor, but could be. Not sure he has an NFL arm.

Ah, right. Thank you. Forgot the chefs traded up to get PM at ten. Thought it was late first round for some reason.
Weak arm
He not good.
Well, to be fair to young Watson they gave him his first real game action in the midst of a blowout against what I'm hearing is probably the best defense the league has seen since the 85 Bears.

Nice you're coming around...
But I wouldn't put us 85 Bears...

The tinhorns pulled a more accurate passer with little mobility for a kid that can at least run for his life from behind a joke of an O-Line that was getting torched.

Yes, that OL is a complete joke. Which is why I think #Sacksonville should slow their roll a bit until they see what happens against a competent OL.
