I anxiously await jaguarmvp's next anti-Bortles thread and thread warning us to lay off the Koolaid.

Bald spot still there sadly.
I am not going to get too crazy after this game. I can omit that maybe the Titans are better than I thought as well. Going to remain cautiously optimistic.
Thrilling as it is to see him play well, I'm still reserving judgement. I want to see him do this EVERY week, consistently, if there's any hopes of not drafting a QB this next year.

And hey, I felt a moment of kinship with the man when I saw that bald spot....Lord knows I started shaving my head for good reason....
Bortles not too bad today but this was a team that was 2-0 against Browns and Cinci. We saw what happens against a decent team. I’ll reserve further judgement. I do expect wins against the upcoming weak teams.

They played a more up tempo offense today and he did well. I think that helps him significantly.   It’s going to be week by week with him.  Let’s hope we see more of today and less of last week.  If we do, this team is going to surprise some people.

Not too bad? The dude threw 4 TDS against the #1 defense in the league.

He was great today. Now will he be great next week? Who knows but man.... give the dude credit when he plays well.
Someone mentioned they saw an opened bottle of vodka and a shot glass in Bort's locker before the game..

Could explain why he looked like a decent QB today..

I gave him credit. A 65% completion deserves no more and certainly not “great.” You’ve been jaded.

You said “not too bad.” That’s not giving him credit.

He was great today. 4 TDS against the Ravens defense is playing great. No turnovers either. He didn’t have a “so-so” day. He was money.

I’m not jaded because QBs don’t throw for 4 TDS each week. It’s not the norm. Blake could very well throw 3 picks next week but this week.... he was great.

It also helped a lot that they were throwing on early downs a lot rather than the "It's 2nd and 17, need you to show Tom Brady how to play now, Borts."

Okay, then you pat him on the back as you feel necessary. If you need his address for flower delivery, let me know. His play was okay for me and I appreciated the ball control offense.

I'd pour the shots for him if it kept his play at this level.
When the defense is pitching 3 and outs consistently as they did in the first half (and causing turnovers), it makes things a lot easier. Bortles played really well today even taking that into consideration. I still don't believe if we go down 2 scores and the opposing D is teeing off against the pass that Bortles is the guy to overcome that. There are very few in the league that are, however. I think we still need to be looking for the future at QB next year, but today was a promising note for Bortles career which to date has been lack luster.

The legend of drunken master?
1. Good O-Line play
2. An effective running game
3. Effective receiving options between the numbers, not just Hurns, Lee and Robinson working it on the perimeter
That throw to Hurns for a TD was beautiful, between 4 defenders.

Good drive to the end zone, Blake. Have another.

The Lee pass

The 1st Lewis TD

The 2nd Lewis TD

The Hurns TD

All great throws.
It was amazing. He didn't do anything real stupid today and made some really good throws.

Lest we forget how bad he can be...
