You're completely over looking his entire point that Smith is a WILL LB and he's not going to demand a high priced contract, period.
Robinson is a #1 type of WR, that even coming off of an injury, would demand a higher priced type of contract than a WILL LB ever would.
While I agree with your first point and hopefully we will be able to re-sign Telvin Smith before free agency starts, I could disagree with you more when it comes to ARob. I don't see him as a #1 WR yet. He has to prove it for more than 1 year. That's what I've seen from him. One good year of production and I'm not gonna sink a lot of money into a guy who hasn't been consistent and likely won't be back to 100%, until the 2019 season. There will be other options our there.

We won't be able to sign Lee to a contract like that, pay Smith, tag A Rob, and pay Bortles for his 5th year. If Bortles plays decent the rest of the year I think we keep him for his 5th year and draft a QB in the 2nd round. No way will Lee get a bigger contract than Hurns though, the Gene Smith days are over
They already said they were planning to tag ARob anyway.
With Westbrook on a rookie deal, you cut someone like Greene and have your top 4 as ARob, Lee, Westbrook, Hurns. Hurns, is actually relatively cheap considering the cap, Westbrook is cheap. Lee won't break the bank, I'd extend him for a little more than Hurns makes, then you tag or prove it deal on ARob. We're fine with all 4 next year. I think 2019 is when a decision to move on from one might come.
Lee is better than Hurns... We have like $20-30mil next year after the Option and that's before we cut guys like Ivory and Marcedes.
Actually we'll be closer to like $45mil when you factor in the rollover.

Westbrook is definitely as advertised. I was losing my voice from screaming from when we got him in the draft just because of how much I watched him at Oklahoma, it sucks so bad he's injured. He'd open up the field so much it's not even funny. Having him and Lee on the field at in both slots with Hurns and Robinson on the outside would be an absolute nightmare for defenses.

I hope he's the return candidate we choose when the time comes.

Over the cap has us at $13mil next year (after the Option) but we have $36mil to roll over that was unused this year.

Yeah we are way ahead on this question but we need a cap expert in here. Does this years cap roll over to next cut year? If so then that should add about 30 million. Then the cap will proly go up another 10-15 million. If it plays out like this, we should be around 44 million. That’s not counting any cuts or contract restructuring. This is all contingent on roll over cap space. Does anyone know if they roll over cap in the 2018 year?
It’s looking like resigning our guys shouldn’t be an issue

We would be 8.4 Million under the cap...
Ivory at 7 Million wouldn't be kept
Yeldon at 1.88 won't be kept
Rivera at 1.5 most likely won't be kept
Mercedes at 3.75 is interesting but he could be gone
Plus rollover + Salary Cap increase
We will have plenty of room picking up Bortles increase and Bouye increase

What? We'd have a $19 million backup. We will draft our QB of the future. It isn't Bortles.

Agreed. Keep in mind that WR's like...
Martavis Bryant
Larry Fitzgerald
Eric Decker
Davante Adams
Jarvis Landry
Sammy Watkins
Taylor Gabriel
Alshon Jeffrey
Paul Richardson
Donte Moncrief
Will all be UFA's after this season as well. There will be options.

If we dont resign A Rob or Lee, I wonder what the chances of Dave and Tom taking James Washington, WR, Ok St. are? If they feel he is clearly the best player on the board and thinks he can be an elite WR. Although I would rather go oline and QB.

That guy is some kind of special. He just runs passed DB's and seems to catch a deep ball in every game. He is the epitome of a big play WR.
