FWIW, Watson is leading the league in QBR.  His game Sunday was the second best game in the last 14 years since they been keeping track. What's getting lost here and why Houston fans are so excited is how Watson has played not just good but exceptional over the last two weeks.  He's gotten better each game and is doing things rookies just don't do.  His coolness under pressure is superb, his escapability and ability to extend plays is already elite.  With  all that his two best qualities are between his ears and beating in his chest. He's making the guys around him bettER.

As much as opposing fans are hoping that his progression and performance are a fluke, those who have watched closely know that it is highly unlikely that he won't be a future franchise quarterback.

I haven't been this optimistic since Schaub's good years. In fact I'm even more optimistic since he's still a kid with room to improve.

The Texans have been through so many QBs under Bill O'Brien I forgot about Matt Schaub. How that is for pathetic?
Why don't we have a Week 5 pick thread yet?

   Not surprising at all...
By the end of his career I was trying to forget about him.

Vince Young threw like Uncle Rico..he simply was never a legit viable NFL QB. That's the reason why Jeff Fisher and Norman Chow didn't want him in the first place. He was forced on them by a idiot owner.

Would an RGIII comparison make you feel better?  Or maybe Manziel?  I'm just saying there's a long history of QBs having phenomenal college careers, flashing for a season or maybe two in the NFL and then turning into a disaster once defenses have some film on them.  Not saying Watson will not be great, I'm just saying your problem solved claim is a bit premature.

I think that tinhorn fans should probably pump the brakes just a bit before declaring Watson all that and a bag of Cheetos.  He's started 3 games thus far with the first 2 being against "less than stellar" defenses.  Teams have some game tape on him now and will shut him down soon enough.

Tinorns fans are probably comparing Deshaun Watson to their 15 other QBs since David Carr was cut.

While they may not have been the best D's in the league he absolutely cleaned some clocks and he's only started in three games.
I'm not ready to anoint him king just yet but he at least shows some promise.
