FB is hurting a lot. Makes no sense to not have one.

A fullback doesn't cost a GM their job. Also of all the days to complain about not a fullback, you choose to do it on the day we rushed for 205 yards and almost 7 per carry.

How about drafting a bust at QB 3rd overall and missing out on the real superstar QB of that draft?

this is not the first day we complained about this. This is a complaint for the last 3 years which you probably dont remember. 2 times we do a shotgun draw up the middle when we need a yard forced us into a FG and punt. Thats when you run a i form or goaline behind you FB with one of the hardest runners in the league Ivory. Something its clear you will probably never understand

Just another example of building a roster around a scheme leaves you vulnerable

That's on Gus and his OCs, dude.  Caldwell doesn't design the offense.

 

I hope the new HC drafts a FB in the 6th or 7th round next year. 

I have to say, Caldwell's seat is starting to warm up with me now. I was leaning towards giving him a pass until the next HC. But, I'm definitely warming up to this too now. He's brought in some good players; but he's whiffed on some too. That's the life of a GM though. We'll see.

I have also complained about not having a fullback, but again that is FAR down on the list of things that may cost Caldwell his job.

BB5 sucks.  But he could have been serviceable if we only fired Gus last year and made sure that BB5 was properly coached in the off season.

 

The fact that Gus is still the head coach is the most damning thing about Caldwell's legacy. 

 

And to be honest, the critique he gets from fans from here on out is his own fault.

 

His intelligence should be questioned for not recognizing the cancer that Gus Bradley is.

don't know if not having a FB on the roster gets the GM fired, but on 3 and 1 you sure miss having a guy like Greg Jones to lead the way

LOL, I thought you knew more than this.  Its not Gus's or the OCs fault that there is not a FB on the roster dude.  That is Daves job to get a FB on the roster. Dave Caldwell is the guy that makes the roster not Gus or the OC.  Not to mention im sure he dont was to put a [BLEEP] DT in at FB that has no clue what hes doing and cant block

We are the same team regardless of who is on the roster. Flat line with no progress.  We couldn't beat backups last year and are 1-1 against them this year. Think of the acquired talent, who is better today than when we drafted them or signed them?

 

The scheme is awful and the offense doesn't match up to the defense.  We have a stiched together Frankenstein of disjointed parts.  I fault Caldwell for a poor rebuilding plan only because they extended Gus in the off season.

Why in the hell would a GM acquire a FB if his coach has no intention of fielding one?????  

 

That would be idiotic.  It's just like when Gus has input on the types of players he wants to fit his defensive scheme.(longer DBs, faster LBs etc.)  He also has input on personnel decisions like something involving a position he doesn't even intend to use.  

 

By the way they had a FB on the team under Dave and Gus cut him.
