Quote:Trump is a wonderful role model for children, as is his wife, first lady Melania Trump, who had the great courage to go to Michigan on Monday and explain to school kids that bullying is bad.

In a statement, she said: “By our own example, we must teach children to be good stewards of the world they will inherit. We need to remember that they are always watching and listening. It is our responsibility to take the lead in teaching children the values of empathy and communication that are at the core of kindness, mindfulness, integrity, and leadership.”

President Trump reinforced the first lady’s anti-bullying message on Tuesday by showing true leadership and calling Corker “incompetent” and a “lightweight” and tweeting that the head of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee “couldn't get elected dog catcher in Tennessee.”

You see? Bullying is bad, unless it’s directed at a major jerk-face like Corker.

Is pointing out that someone is TERRIBLE at their job considered bullying in 2017?

I hope not. I don't want to be considered a bully when I point that out about Trump.

How has your life changed since January 20th? Just curious.
Where does it say he was trying to be a role model for children?

when did we start looking at presidents as role models? They make HORRIBLE role models I can't think of a single one I'd say look Jimmy be like him in the last 30 years?

Trump is a valid role model from a business  and real estate standpoint but I agree, a politician is a worse role model than an athlete .
Eric makes a good point. Since when are politicians, even Presidents, role models?

They usually made their career on lies, misdirection, and backroom deals. Even your king Obama was a snake. You're obsessed with Trump--admit it.

Since January 20th I have come to terms that WW3 will most likely going to occur within the next 4 years. Trump has angered our enemies with his rhetoric and burned bridges with our own allies. It's nerve racking, but it's fate. I have made peace with my maker and I accept that the end is probably near. That's how Trump has impacted my life.

Trump is not a role model for business either unless you are trying to teach a kid nothing but greed, backstabbing and cheating. The man is known for hiring smaller businesses in the construction of his hotels and casinos and then refusing to pay them. They know if they try to sue him, he's got the best lawyers and he'll tie them up in court until they run out of money and can't fight anymore. These allegations have been well chronicled over the years. Don't believe me? Google it.

Posting about the most prominent politician in our country, perhaps the world, on a political forum is obsession?

When King Obama is the only defense you can offer for your Orange Emperor, one wonders why you even bother replying, unless your obsession is my alleged obsession.

Every President should at least try to be a role model, can you give me one example of Trump giving it a modicum of effort? Was it his speech to the Boy Scouts?

They can at least try to behave like a rational adult. We're not even getting an honest effort, in that regard.

Did you give us your usual knee-jerk defense of Trump based on what your news sources tell you to think, or did you actually read to article?
Meh there's plenty you valid reasons to criticize Trump or praise Trump but being a role model just seems like a reach. Unless he's claiming it somewhere but I've never seen that.

Yes, I do. Reagan didn't put us in such a position. Neither did Bush or Clinton or W. or Obama. We are in the position we are in now, because our current president has impulse control issues, no filter and he's an arrogant no it all.

It is well documented the issues with NK started on January 20, 2016.

Do you not trust General Mattis?

Issues and escalation are two entirely different things. The issues were there in 2016, but Trump escalated them. Before that, he also insulted our allies in Germany, France, Australia and South Korea. That's just the ones I can remember off the top of my head.
