The flag on Colvin was thrown at the 42 yard line....if you watch the Bouye return right as he crosses the 40 yard line you see Colvin throw a nice block and lay some one out...as the camera follows you see Colvin stand over the guy...Im sure he did something celebrating his block that drew the flag. (13-14 sec mark of the NFL replay of the play)
To me it looks like he is standing over him which apparently refs dont like after a hit.

Yes, but then they ignored Rivers standing over Bouye after stopping him at the 2 yard line.
The refs scout the teams they are going to have the next week, and I'm sure they were looking to throw flags on us, especially after the incident between Ramsey and Green the week before.
We cant see what else he does but I would hope there was more to it than just that...also glad its not a penalty enforced where it occurred.
Colvin to DiRocco said this about the penalty:
Jaguars CB Aaron Colvin on his taunting penalty after A.J. Bouye's interception in OT: "I was talking s---. If I put an O-lineman on his [BLEEP] he’s going to hear about it, but I can’t do that again. It can cost my team a game. I've got to clean that up. I’ll be better. It was the first time it happened and it’s the last time it’s going to happen."
That was one of the most lopsided bias I have ever seen from an NFL officiating crew. Both teams were doing the same stupid stuff from Cam's "False start" on 4th down to all the taunting, holding, bad overturns but they all went against the Jaguars. We finally had one obvious holding call go our way when Calais was tackled by 2 Chargers. It was the first time I've seen that officiating crew do a Jags game this season. Hopefully it's the last... that was horrid. I'm all for trash talk and getting in people's head but do it sparingly or take care of your beef after you win the game. At the end of the day that's what matters and the only thing worth talking about.

You didn't see the 2016 game vs the Packers? That game was far and away one of the most bias officiated games ever called.
Not just as a Jags fan, but it was one of the worst officiated games I've ever seen. It was so awful that the NFL actually admitted that there was 16 missed/blown calls in that game, that went against us.

The last two games this year were pretty bad. This one is probably #2 of recent memory. The packers game was God awful too.
This is an up and coming team that isn't use to winning at this level and the excitement boils over sometimes. Growing pains. Things will get better with the players holding their emotions in check. Get ready for some terrible officiating if we so much as touch Wilson on a couple weeks tho. God help us if we ever manage to play the Pats

Bouye won the AFC South last year
Campbell has been to the playoffs numerous times
Ramsey came from FSU and only lost 14 professional games
Fowler has only lost 14 professional games. Won at Florida
Fournette won at LSU, lost only 3 professional games
Jackson has won a Super Bowl
Church went to the playoffs last year
Cam Robinson won a ton at Alabama, has 3 losses in pro football
Young, yes. But it's not like they are used to losing.
Don't understand why Rivers was allowed to "taunt" Bouye after the tackle, but oh well. These refs will probably be taken care of.

How about Telvin, Lee, and Colvin? They have seen about 40 losses in 4 years. How did they control their emotions yesterday?

I don't want to kill these guys' spirit, but there's a fine line and we seem to be stepping over it quite often.
It feels like the league is trying to extinguish our Fire- Tame the team, so to say.
Well, you can't have a newcomer come in and steal the show...
Like it or not, the team is getting extra scrutiny from the refs for their "taunting". There were two incidents in the Chargers game that were completely ignored by the officiating crew, but had a Jag player done the same thing, they would have drawn flags.
One play was the Rivers incident when he was picked off and bowed up after making the tackle.
The other was when Boston intercepted Bortles and pretty much taunted the Jaguars when he ran out of bounds.
The Jags just need to be more careful because they are under a microscope. Coughlin will fix that.

Yes. I think this staff will be able to coach them into the right adjustments with that stuff.
In fact, there was a play in the bolts game involving Ramsey where he made a play and began to stand over the guy, but then abruptly retreated. I think we'll see more of that restraint as these guys look to seal a playoff berth.

Lee's penalty was absolutely stupid. 100% his fault. Like someone said earlier these silly unsportsmanlike penalties will come back to bite one day. Marrone needs to stop the madness now.

Do you ever post anything other than whining about the refs? Give it a rest.
There isn't some Alex Jones conceived plot against he Jags. Why would the refs favor the Chargers?
Every fan base (including that of the Chargers) thinks there team is getting screwed. It just looks real weak.
Just re-watching the game, had to LOL at James Lofton saying "What an ending!!" There was 1:42 on the clock.

I hate to admit it....but she was right....
There's one replay angle on the Gipson fumble recovery that clearly shows Gipson was bobbling the ball as he got up.
There is no replay that shows Gipson touching a Charger with clear possession of the ball. The refs did not see it and the replays did not show it, so how could they reverse the call? Even if it was likely or logical that Gipson was touching the player as he gained possession, at what point did he stop touching the player and at what point did he actually have possession? There was no basis to overturn it.

Marrone said that the call to reverse it came from New York where apparently the puzzled together different images and replays and decide to overturn it.
