Quote:You don't even acknowledge racism exist so.....................

I certainly do.  I'm curious what you think it would take to help cure it, since you seem fine with the president's inaction when he had a chance to improve relations.

I'm sure it's just some form of revenge against those who aren't racist but are labeled as such solely because they belong to a group labeled "white."
If I was a minirity democrat, I'd be insulted by the lip service being paid by someone like Clinton. The constant drum beat that government will take care of us, and that evil republicans will take us back to the 1800s is truly insulting. As if we aren't capable of lifting ourself out of record poverty and welfare dependence on our own. They need minorities to remain dependent upon the government, and use fear tactics to keep them there.

For decades they've made the same empty promises every four years, and taken the minority vote for granted. It's only gotten worse. At what point do you say enough is enough?
Quote:And your backing of corrupt police departments gets old.

I can't post videos because of profanity which will lead to me getting another warning. Good trick though.

Go google them for yourself.

Care to post evidence of me backing "corrupt" police departments?  I don't recall any stories in the news of corruption at any police department.

Very much so.  The "can do" spirit of Americans is gone.  I don't see anyone really optimistic regarding how our country is functioning.  I have never seen this country more divided, more lost, more dysfunctional ever in my 50+ years.
I believe he's invoking the "yall white people need to stop talking cause yall racists have no say in this" defense.

I find it semi-amusing because I'm not white.

Nor have I.

A different approach is fully warranted, but some folks simply fear change so they use the racist card. It isn't going to get fixed with the current approach, that's for sure.
Reading some of these posts I feel like I am in a Bizarro universe. Won't even try to debate some of these talking points as it would be a waste of time. I get that some of us are on opposite sides of the spectrum at times, but there's some serious delusional thinking here.

Right, because believing the current path hasn't provided any positive progress is so delusional.

You must be pretty young.
Delusional is thinking that worsening relations and undoing years of progress equates to a net positive because it raises awareness, which is pretty much the summary of JFC's take.

You've accused more of that before. It's flattering. Really. I actually have quite a bit of life experience to speak of. I just reject fiction.

I wouldn't disagree the racial divide has been ramped up. But to blame Obama for inciting racial division is pure excrement.

Right. He's really doing his part to unify us.

Again, pull your head out of that orifice before you suffocate.
I was thinking that burning down a church and spraying vote Trump was so stupid it had to be a setup.

Then I remembered who supports Trump...
Quote:That's certainly the opinion the Democratic Party holds for minorities.
I love it when this is pointed out, because Democrats automatically get defensive. I mean, look at Corrinne Brown. She was a champion for the black community in Jacksonville, right? What did she really do to help the black community? Show up at a memorial service or festival every so often to show off a new hat? Stand around talking about making the community better while crack was being sold in the front row? And yet so many of my friends back in Jacksonville consider her to be some mythical hero. Why? No one can really articulate why beyond, "She was an anchor for this community."

Yeah, she was. And like any good anchor, she did her best to drag her constituents down to the bottom. Why did so many people, and why do so many people still hold her in such high regard? Could it be because we had 20 years of black political figures telling us how great she was, and what a spearhead she was for the black community, even though she was accomplishing nothing other than lining her own pockets? They wouldn't possibly have been telling everyone that because it was politically convenient to keep a divisive figure like Corrinne Brown in place and make sure people looked up to her and her rhetoric?

And who did that benefit, exactly? Certainly not the people who were singing her praises as their kids' applications were rejected by FCCJ. But it did benefit the Democratic Party, which had literally nothing to worry about in subsequent elections. They'd never lose that seat to a Republican. Was anyone else totally unsurprised that the redistricting that forced Brown out was promptly followed by a series of indictments to shut her up and discredit her? The Democratic Party cares about the black vote, not about the black population. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that.

Yeah.. your entire argument is Twilight Zone bull [BLEEP] so.. I'm not even gonna try to engage you on this.

"You didn't unify 'Murica when all them blacks were harassed and kilt.. thanks Obummer!"

For a guy who often seems to have relatively well thought out arguments, this is shockingly moronic tripe. I may have disagreed with you in the past, but this is the first time I am legitimately questioning your intelligence.

You voted for Hillary and probably doubled down for Obama. That's all I needed to know to question yours. Denying facts about how divisive your messiah is simply confirms my initial thoughts.

There's nothing twilight zonish about my opinion. It's based on simple historic fact. You don't see it because you've got your head up your rear.

Except your facts are just your bull [BLEEP] opinion.

Yeah, he "fixed it" instead.

Talk about excrement...  He stood by and did nothing while it happened.  Much like your girl in Benghazi.
