Quote:Not the point. An owner shouldn't say those things to the fans regardless.

I would generally agree, but these people you're using as examples aren't your typical fans.

The examples you showed were trolling Tony, and the last was a complete parody account solely created for Twitter flaming.

Even good people get dragged down when engaging the bottom of the barrel.  I'm guilty far too often.
He should get off twitter if he can't handle the nutjobs.  It can be a cesspool.  It's not all adoration.

Quote:We have those.
Yea, Shad, tony, gus, and dave.

Exactly. And if he is hellbent on posting stats on social media, he needs to learn how to block out the nonsense.
Quote:He is so tone deaf, it is stunning.

This tweet from a few months ago was one that got me.

That one doesn't really bother me.  The incident  yesterday is different because he gave these idiots a platform by responding to them.  He should have simply ignored them and moved on.
Quote:Someone tell these clowns that's the problem. Gus is TOO NICE. The soft organization leadership is TOO NICE. Coughlin, Jon Gruden, Donald Trump.....someone needs to come into this soft organization and show they "nice". The NFL isn't for "nice". This is pro football KHAN's. This isn't soccer where you roll around the grass like you got shot after a hang nail.

Obviously we can't discuss it in this thread, but anyone who thinks Trump is "too nice" does not know a single thing about his presidential campaign.

I will not say anything else about that here. Back to football.

Tony Khan is a nerd.
poor billionaire.. doesn't know why fans can't be nicer to him..

just like the coaches and players don't know why they aren't winning

I think everyone should.

140 characters or less yet people post over and over to account for a paragraph

people post things they almost immediately regret

even if it's deleted, it's never deleted.

Another social media device that really further divides people.

The further along we get technologically the more it brings out trolls, hate, division....

The further we become disconnected.

I kind of hate the internet.

He'd be a helluva coach.
Some of y'all are funny man...

Y'all the type to blame a victim of a mugging of being at the wrong place, at the wrong time.

Abhorrent speech and behavior is now acceptable?

Whatever happened to "sticks and stones"?

Agreed. Fans have a right to "boo" a bad team. The Jags are a bad team. Fans should not personally attack players or personnel with inflammatory remarks. Many fans are being downright hateful towards the players and personnel and there is a line. Is it your right? Sure. Is it acceptable? No. Fans should grow up and know that attacking people verbally is wrong in any situation.

Not acceptable, just very commonplace on social media.  Therefore, best not to stoop, but everyone eventually does.

It's like responding to some of the more idiotic posts on this board (not meaning yours) -

I shouldn't bother, but I do it too often anyway.
There has never been a HC worse than Gus Bradley in NFL history. These are unchartered waters...the fans are frustrated, angry and want blood...the players are upset and angry too at failing to meet their own expectations this year.

This can all be solved with the firing of Gus.
Oh man. Tony is still tweeting at Jaguar fans. I think Daddy Khan needs to take his phone away.

I don't like Twitter.

Never have.

I don't think grown men should "tweet."

It's just not gangster.

I don't get what good it does to antagonize the owner's son (and quite possibly the future owner of the team).

No, none of us are pleased with the product.

But to antagonize the guy who could keep the team here or move the team isn't very smart.

It's actually way worse in other big markets.

You think if the Jags, hypothetically, moved to London that those fans wouldn't go to social media and crush every single decision the team makes? Have you seen then during the Premiere League season?

Welcome to the internet. Not everyone is nice, and some are downright mean. If you can't handle it, turn off your phone, laptop, or desktop and walk away.

There is no reason why Tony should be attacked the fans in general. It isn't the FANS attacking him. It is the individuals attacking him. Most of us don't use twitter or represent the opinions on twitter. So why attack THE FANS instead of the individual?
