Quote:Our team is softer than soft serve iceecream. They can't embarrass anyone.
Edit: These mods censored IC3 Cream? are you serious?
Yet the P word of the male anatomy isn't censored and thus got me a warning for saying it. Not really a bad word... but whatever.
Sounds like it was taken out of context. What he said is true : more fans should spend their time in the pool, instead of roasting in the Florida heat along with the garbage on the field.
If nothing else has come out of these hard times, Jacksonville has shown that it's a true NFL town. Not many cities would support this garbage for eleven straight years, and continue to buy tickets. You think Bronco fans would be rocking' Mile High after nine straight losing seasons?
Fans were there when guys like Hugh Douglas and Aaron Ross spit in their face, using Jacksonville as a place to collect a paycheck. Given how poorly Malik Jackson has played, perhaps he's doing the same. Well, we'll be here long after Jackson leaves, though God knows why.
Fans should boycott a game. Everybody go down to the stadium. Set up your tailgate. Hook up the TV. Get the grill going. Cooler of beer. Have a good time with your buddies. But just dont go inside. Screw em.
These guys need to win or shut up.
Given what our team has been like for years now, I would be surprised if there weren't more (and louder) opponents fans at the stadium. These bums masquerading in Jaguars uniforms as professional football players... and getting paid millions to do it... all I can say is that I won't be wasting my entertainment money on Jaguars games... until they can make me believe in them again.
Right now, that seems a long way off.
I honestly don't care anymore about what these guys have to say. Actions speak louder than words. So far I've seen this city support a losing product to the tune of 14 - 41 and not one time can I recall over the last three years and some change where this city had a local blackout due to lack of fan turnout. The fans have, and continue to do their job and support this team. I don't expect players that make hundreds of thousands of dollars and millions of dollars on a yearly basis to understand the frustration though. It is what it is though. To you die hard fans that have devoted yourselves and your families to being season ticket holders. I appreciate each and every single one of you. You're a better individual and fan than I am. You work hard and you buy into the hype and you get let down week in and week out and year in and year out. You'd think players would be more appreciative of that. But, as I said. Can't expect millionaires to sympathize with the frustrations of a family household who has to cut back, sacrifice and create a yearly budget to somehow afford those season tickets to come out and support a product that doesn't deliver. This team literally cannot even meet the fan base in the middle. We're not even an average football team.
Quote:Fans being thin skinned.... there are a bunch of them.
Exhibit A
I own a local restaurant and you are a frequent, loyal customer. I served you bad food 41 out of 55 visits, but you keep coming back for more. I call you out publicly for only giving my restaurant 3/5 stars on yelp. Would you be 'thin-skinned' for being upset about that?
Quote:It is insulting. They think firing an OC is going to just tide the fans over until the end of the season.
Another post by someone who has no clue who fired Olson. Bradley did it. The decision was
not (as implied) Khan or Caldwell saying, "Fire Greg but keep Bradley." If people understood this they would stop complaining Khan fired the wrong coach.
Fans are getting a bit entitled here. This is college where you go to classes and pay the university for tickets. This is a completely independent part of your life unless you work with the Jaguars organization. We have always had the shroud of attendance issues hovering around us. It's understandable for people to get frustrated but imagine you're actually playing for this dumpster fire organization. Yeah, he got a fat check to come here but still, every aspect of this team is putrid. I have a hard time believing our players aren't talented enough to be competitive. Players and fan alike need to come together and focus our frustration on what needs to be changed; coaching
Malik Jackson can say what he wants. Dude got paid 100 million dollars and ACTUALLY cares about winning. He plays until the whistle and hasn't given up on plays. He is frustrated and wants to win.
Quote:Malik is trying to get out of Jacksonville by creating chaos. Oakland has good fans and travel really well. They outnumbered Buc fans Sunday as well.
Even if this is Malik Jackson's goal, his contract is going to make it difficult for the Jaguars to move on from him next year.
Quote:Why are they mad at us?? Yall are the ones that keep losing!!!!
We been through this for YEARS
Many players don't have the perspective of a team's fan base. These players view the team in the context of the time they have been with the team, not what happened prior to then. This can become a major problem when a team is struggling.

Players and Fans need to come together?
What the heck are the fans supposed to do other than buy tickets, merchandise, cheer, and tune in to the away games? The same fans that these entitled players are complaining about, are the ones that do the aforementioned things THE MOST. Our role is not to play, not to coach, and not to own. Our role is to support this team financially and show interest in this team, whether it be cheering or booing.
That's fine. They're lucky a single fan shows up to support the garbage we've seen in games the past 8 years. There isn't even a fool's hope that this team makes headway any given week. Look in the mirror or get used to empty seats and opposing fans. You're asking for an awful lot of loyalty and down right foolish arrogance to get large amounts of people to watch this dumpster fire every year every week. This should be a testament to how poorly the team has performed despite raised expectations year in and year out. The coaches and players should maybe consider doing something about it. Would he go to a Jaguars game after 9 years of horrible football and bad team management?
Quote:My friend and his wife travelled to that game and said there were a lot of raider fans there.
I was there, and I was shocked at how many Raider fans were there. Late in the game, it sounded like the game was being played in Oakland.

I have noticed that the visiting crowd is *always* overestimated. I guess because the visitors tend to stand out among the Jags fans, especially since they were louder than the Jags fans but then why not? The Raiders dominated from start to finish.
This is just my opinion..
Players need to shut the [BLEEP] up and play football..
Fans need to shut the [BLEEP] up and watch football..
Oakland fans aren't traveling all the way to here and Tampa.....they're people that like to dress up like halloween
and support a franchise that's been around a long time (1960 according to history). There's a mystique in being a raider fan.
Like squealer fans....a BUNCH of them moved to Florida, in fact Florida over all has lots of people that move here from up north that have not quit supporting their old teams.

Hard to watch this garbage every week tbh.
