I'm liking this Patrick Mahomes guy from Texas Tech. Huge arm but plays in an air raid offense that inflates his numbers. Very Derek Carr like.

There will be no QB drafted unles it's very late.
As much as BB has regressed, he was loved by most last year.
Ok. A bad year. You dump him already?
Get an OLine. Open up the running game. Don't have piss poor play calling that puts him in a do or die position, and maybe, just maybe the kid rebounds. He's a gamer. He needs confidence restored. A good coach and some team support can do that.
I'm disappointed big time. But give up on him this early? No. there ain't no quick fix.

Quote:Please no. QB class is trash this year. We drafted Byron and next year we passed on big ben. We drafted Goobert and when we should have been tanking for Luck the next year. We draft beer belly blake and next year we miss out on Famous Jameis/Mariota.
Let's not draft another stiff like Kaaya and miss an elite talent like Lamar Jackson.
LOL Lamar Jackson is a slot WR in the NFL

LOL you think bortles isn't trash. You have no credibility when it comes to evaluating QBs. If you think Lamar is a slot WR, it's more likely he's a superstar QB. Which he is...

LOL you don't have a clue. Bortles led the NFL in TDs last year at age 23. When Lamar Jackson EVER throws more than 17 TDs in an NFL season wake me up. He's a more inaccurate Teddy Bridgewater. Lamar's future is Terrelle Prior if he's LUCKY

Beer belly bortles can't throw or run.
Terrelle Pryor could probably fly in tomorrow and do a better job than Blake at QB.

Just like Chad Henne and his career 58 TDs and 63 INTs will do better right? Bortles threw for 337 yards and 3 TD and 0 INT last game. He won't be benched because he's hands down the best QB on the team.

Yet his mechanics as a "slot wr" are miles ahead of Bortles. Pretty sad.

Who cares about mechanics when your scoring defense is STILL giving up 28.0 ppg ONE YEAR after drafting 7 defensive players the year before giving up 28.1 ppg.
What an improvement!!
Bortles was good last year and bad this year. It doesn't matter....the Jags are a loser franchise who still has the same 3 problems it had last year.....
1) Zero running game
2) Zero defense
3) Zero head coach
The same exact 3 problems from 2015 are the same. Jags fans are blaming Bortles for the expectations when the same 3 problems haven't been addressed. Embarrassing.

Why is the defense the offensive problem but the offense can't be the defensive problem? The offense still can't score in the first half and can't stay on the field more than 2 minutes a possession.
Your bias is showing. Tuck it back in.

The defense isn't the OFFENSE problem.
The defense IS THE PROBLEM.
The defense is why Gus Bradley is (14-41) and has never beaten a winning record team in 55 games.
This defense has given up 42 and 36 points to Mike Mularkey the last 2 games. Let that sink in.
No one short on Tom Brady in Belchicks system is out scoring Gus Bradley's TERRIBLE defense consistent enough to WIN

There are plenty of doubts about it. This is the Jaguars. All I know is Henne is a dumpster fire and is just taking up a valuable roster spot. If he wasn't that bad he would be starting because Blake is just looking like trash these days.

Bortles might not finish this season as the starter.

Quote:Bortles might not finish this season as the starter.I think this may be the case here if we continue to lose. After you're 2-10, there is no point in keeping Blake in if he continues to regress. Throw Allen in and let him get his feet wet for the last 4 games of the season.

We said the same damn things about Blaine Gabbert after his 3rd year. It's time to open our eyes and see that Bortles is part of the problem and realize he's not the guy moving forward.
We may be stuck starting Bortles next year, but we absolutely should be in the market for the best QB we can find.

Just watched the Dallas/Philly highlights, man I'm jealous. They look to have found their QBs......
