I hear he's selling his tickets
If there are enough fans making "FIRE GUS" signs and bring them to the game, it may work.

Quote:Dear Shad Khan, the head coach you are sticking with has been embarrassed in back to back weeks by two coaches that were fired on your watch. JDR was fired once you brought the team, and you fired Mike Mularkey, its time for you to look in the mirror and see this guy is not the man for the job. Fire him now, asign an intern coach and start an extensive coaching search right now.

Thank you
Dear J-Mizzal, Thank you for your note, I am thankful for passionate fans like yourself...However, I do know Gus isn't going to bring us to the promise land, I was at ALL the games so I do see what's happening on the field and I see what's going on behind closed doors...All you can see is what's happening on the field, but you have no idea what is being done, said, or prepared to do...My people have been working in the NFL all their lives, I listen to them rather than fans who think they have all the answers without spending a single hour working in the NFL...Please just sit back watch and wait for changes to come...Once we get some things ironed out and decided on, there will be change, but change will come at MY TIME rather than the fans time...Many thanks for your support, Shad Khan
Problem is - changes aren't coming, things aren't getting better, and this season is lost already.

Yeah, Shad has already paid Gus for this season, but Shad is turning a lot of fans off.  Fans who aren't going to renew season tickets.  Fans who will be so turned off, they may never come back.

When the fans have been lied to, deceived, and made fun of (i.e. Allen Robinson's comments) then the fans will protest with their pocketbooks.

And it's not just buying tickets, it's people not getting NFL Sunday Ticket, it's people not watching the games on TV which lowers revenue, etc.  Every fan does have a voice.

So yeah, Shad is a billionaire and he probably doesn't give a [BLEEP] about any of us individually.  But collectively, we do have an influence, and the Jaguars are just one option on where to spend your entertainment dollars.  And for the past decade - they haven't been very entertaining.

The problem is NOT the fans - it's the Jags and the Jags organization.  Fans don't hate on the fans.  Hate on those that deserve it.  Shad - Gus - Dave.  That trio is the ones that deserve your anger, not fellow message board posters.

You don't know that...you have no idea what's going on behind closed doors, and even though they have said no coaching change is coming, they certainly did not mean EVER...

Khan does care about fans, but he's not going to give in to fan pressure...He is going to work his business model in the fashion he wants to...

Yeah, keep on just acting like it is Jacksonville's right to have a NFL football team. That worked out real well for St. Louis. and soon to be Oakland. Jaguars fans should be very thankful that Mr. Khan is our owner. If you need to pen him a letter it should be a letter of appreciation.

Dear Khan,

I wrote you but still ain't callin'. I left my cell, my pager, and my home phone at the bottom. I sent two letters back in autumn, you must not-a got em'. There probably was a problem at the post office or somethin'. Sometimes I scribble addresses too sloppy when I jot em'. But anyways, [BAD WORD REMOVED] it, what's been up? Man how your's daughter? My girlfriend's pregnant too. I'm bout to be a father. If I have a daughter, guess what I'm a call her? I'm a name her Bonnie. I read about your uncle Ronnie too I'm sorry. I had a friend kill himself over some [BAD WORD REMOVED] who didn't want him. I know you probably hear this everyday, but I'm your biggest fan. I even got the underground [BAD WORD REMOVED] that you did with Skam. I got a room full of your posters and your pictures man. I like the [BAD WORD REMOVED] you did with Rawkus too, that [BAD WORD REMOVED] was fat. Anyways, I hope you got this man, hit me back, just to chat, truly yours, your biggest fan.

That's an avenue I had not even thought of yet...GREAT POINT!

Was literally half way through writing a Khan parody of Stan in this thread but gave up.

"What's been up? Man how's your son? My girlfriends a nerd too. I'm bout to be a father. If I have a son guess what I'm a call him? Ima name him Tony"

Best post I've seen regarding the subject.

Khan has said several times that he doesn't believe in midseason head coaching changes.  That's been reported repeatedly, and although Shad "could" change his mind and fire Gus tomorrow - it's highly unlikely any changes will be made until the offseason.  Gus has also confirmed there will be no changes at QB, nor will be there any changes to the coaching staff.

And correct, Khan has the right to run the team however he sees fit.  It's his team.  Just like every fan has the right to decide how they are going to send their money - whether it's going to a concert, a movie, a Jags game, or out to dinner.

But I'd be willing to bet that if the Jags continue to play the way they do, a lot of fans are going to be making different choices on where to spend their Sunday afternoons the next few weeks, and that will likely lead into lower season ticket holder renewals next year.

I'm not trying to argue - that's not my point; my point is that every fan has a choice.  I just think the decisions being made right now are turning a lot of fans off.  But, to each his own....
My faith in Khan hasn't faltered. If he doesn't get us a respectable coach in the off season, then I'll start to question. There's every reason in the world to fire Gus right now and Khan knows it. But if he's waiting on that all star calibur coach, why bother shaking things up now when he won't get him until season end?

Sticking with Gus also shows these other head coaches out there that Khan is a man of his word and in the business world, that's damn near as good as capital. So if he's really trying to lure in that lunker of a coach, he's most likely going about it the right way in order to lure in the biggest.

Or.. I could be wrong and Khan is just as inept as Gus, but I chose to believe the former.

Wow - I'm sure the points you've made will come as a complete shock to Shad Khan. Perhaps now he'll change his course of action.

You don't think Khan isn't aware of the possible economic ramifications of what he's doing?f he were only worried about money he would have fired Bradley Thursday night. Can't let these eight message board posters down!

I'm sure the man has thought this through and has decided to do what he thinks best - regardless of possible consequences. It's a shame some on here want him to act rashly (as he sees it). Perhaps he's seen how firing manager after manager hasn't improved his soccer team.

Don't really care if Bradley stays or goes right now. We all know he's done at year's end. I do want any owner who does what he thinks best and not what the mob thinks best.

You've always had the option as a consumer to decide you know better than the owner what do do about his team.

Problem is - we don't know what a "respectable coach" is until we judge the product produced. Are you telling me that when hired Bradley wasn't considered a "respectable coach"?

I think by "respectable coach" you mean a name you've heard of. Unfortunately that doesn't guarantee anything.

of course every fan has a choice...everyone threatens to not renew season tickets or more buy more gear, some even follow through with it, but they will come back when the changes are made, whether it's during mid season or at the end of the season...The cold hard truth is that thanks to the revenue sharing from tv contracts, it's difficult to lose money in the nfl...Which means Khan probably won't feel the difference if some fans boycott jags games

We all know Khan more than likely wont make a coaching change in season so we are just gonna have to suck it up and deal with it

what winning coach do you think is going to be unemployed today or at the end of the year...The GREAT coaches all have jobs

who is it gonna talk to when the GREAT ones are already under contract somewhere else...Coaches who have winning records don't get fired

Who says it has to be a coach under a current contract?
