If you know you are firing him at the end of the season there is no reason to keep him now. All you're doing is wasting time searching for a replacement and keeping the other candidates guessing whether there will be an opening.

This is not new. The Giants (Jim Fassel) and Panthers (George Seifert) publicly announced their head coaches will be fired at the end of the season, but let them finish it out. I don't know why.
If Gus Bradley was fired today, what would change? It would not hurt, but would it help?
