No suspensions according to Adam Schefter.

What a load of crap.
The NFL's discipline policy needs to be clarified.

One week you have a guy who looks like he was auditioning for WrestleMania get the same suspension as a guy who made a clean hit, and now this? Kind of a joke.

The NFL is simply sparing the Jefferson children the damage of having to live with the fact that their dad got suspended.

Imagine if you had to live with that while going through elementary school.

My guess is the league is terrified of suspending Bennett because of what he will allege if they do. The league only shows a spine when it doesn't interfere with political correctness.
If no suspensions, there shouldn't be any repercussions to the fans that threw beer. What BS
Who is the new troll, and how did this thread live 9 pages.

It makes me want to throw beer.
absolute BS! Bennett needs to be disciplined, that kind of behavior cannot go unpunished

Agree about the PC mindset.  Honestly I wouldn't want a suspension that would alter the playoffs but they should hit his pocket hard very hard.

The idiot fan should have never thrown anything, but Jefferson needs to be a man and be better. He should have just kept on moving into the locker room and it would have been over with.

The problem with that is, Jefferson was already acting like a child and not a man. He was already set off at that point, which is why he got tossed to begin with.

No. He is a man who put his body on the line for your entertainment.

Shameful.

Honestly pipe down.  This is a man who makes millions a year.  Supposed to be a role model.  And took a cheap shot on a defenseless player.   If I was there and he came into the stands would of knocked him out period.

He is not a model for society and is in fact just a street punk.  The fans had nothing to do with him being ejected.   And won't have any respect for any man who acts like a child.   Our lineman has a family too.  And Probaly kids.  Did he care? Did the others care?   Nope.   So I don't either.

He acted like a punk.  And deserved that and then some.  Period.
Bu-Li-heeeeya. (Bud light here)

You know, if kinda feels good to be the bad guys.

Bud light, the official sponsor of Jefferson’s face

Fans were booing, our players were yelling at him and then he yelled back some obscenities.  Someone threw a water bottle and then a gatorade as he was approaching. The beer actually wasn’t thrown. It was knocked out of someones hand at the tunnel. No beer came close to hitting him. FYI, beer sales stop third quarter. Saw a can and some beads go airborne also. They grabbed a few guys from the stands. Now that the NFL is focused on this, these individuals most likely will be banned. On a side note, I’d pay good money to see Jefferson try to get ahold of ol’ boy in that section that is just a large.
Maybe he went all Mardi Gras on his way to the tunnel....Bourbon Street!

I would hope that if there's no suspension, at least there's a fine.  It was bush league.

A.J. Green wasn't suspended either. Maybe it's more about the Jags not being considered worthy of protection.

"That center had a gun pointed at me, and he said he was going to blow my head off!"
There are two different things being discussed.

Bennett should garner a fine AND a suspension for what he did.  Going low against the center was bad enough, but after that he clearly purposely rolled onto the back of Linder's legs.  That was dirty, uncalled for and should warrant a suspension.

Jefferson should at the very least get a fine for the cheap shot that got him ejected on the very next play.  Then as he was just about to enter the tunnel, he chose to remove his helmet and confront the home team fans.  Had he just continued to the locker room the whole thing would have never happened.  Suspension for that?  Probably not.

How can they suspend Gronk and not Bennett?

Gronk takes it like a man. Bennett would say and do all kinds of things that belong in the political subforum.
