When you miss at quarterback coach and left tackle you suck as a GM

He lets this joke franchise continue. Kick him out the door as well.

I said Dave needs to go but nooooooo he has acquired sooooooo much talent

Ever think that the awful coaching is failing to develop some players that actually do have talent?


That maybe some of the so-so players would be better if we had a legitimate coaching staff?


Not saying Caldwell is great, but most of the players he has drafted have showed some degree of potential or success before regressing or flaming out.

Does no one else think a top notch coach on the Jags sidelines would be getting blown out right now?

Where is all this talent you people keep referring to?  They're just names at this point and nothing more.

He missed at the cornerstone left tackle position; picked a HORRIBLE coach, and sadly looks like he missed at QB.

 

You miss at QB and you're done on any normal team, but this is the Jags so.. 5 yr extension?

Coaches are supposed to develop those names. Thsts not happening. The entire team has regressed.

Both of those coaches have spent most of their career selecting their own players, they wouldn't have this hot garbage roster.

Coughlin won two Super Bowls with players selected by a GM.

He also had a key role in player selection in new york. No he wasn't the only voice like he was here.

Im not saying Dave is the worst GM but I dont think there is any doubt we could do much better.  Not to mention the coach, LT, and QB he wanted and drafted.  Not to mention also we have picked top 5  the last 4 years and top 3, 3 of the 4.

Jesus no. This is at least an 8-8 team with an average head coach/QB.

He had as much role in selecting players as any coach would who answers directly to a team GM. Don't start making up stuff now.

The LT is a wash. He was universally touted as the best player in the entire draft and the most safe pick you could make in a weak class.


The QB was pretty good last year and fell off the cliff this year. That's not normal. That points directly to coaching and development.


Picking top 5 isn't the GMs fault. He doesn't have anything to do with the games being played leading to those records. I'm not sure what you're getting at here.
