Quote:Prior to now, I have not only defended, but praised Caldwell. I was wrong. Here's my top 5 list of Dave's worst moves:

1. Hiring Bradley

2. Adding another year to Bradley's contract after having one of the worst records as a head coach in NFL history.

3. Drafting Blake Bortles with the 3rd pick of the draft.

4. Drafting Luke Joeckel with the 2nd pick.

5. Drafting Dante Fowler when Leonard Williams was available.

He is still better than Gene Smith. Imagine Gene Smith as general manager and Gus Bradley as his head coach?

Shad may give Caldwell 1 more year after this with a new head coach.
This is grounds for firing Caldwell as far as I'm concerned.  Too many whiffs - and you can go a little deep with Cyp, Gratz, etc.  Many of the FA pickups have been mediocre at best like Parnell, Odrick, etc.  Lots of money for not a lot of production.
Quote:Mojo was done. He did absolutely nothing in Oakland and ended up retiring a season later.

Daryl Smith is now out of the league.

Pot roast. Home eating pot roast.

Forsett. Had one good year. Was cut twice this year and is now a backup in Detroit.

Scobee. Sitting home watching the game like the rest of us.

Marshall is the only player you can say would be a contributor today but who is he playing in place of? We can't even seem to get Myles Jack on the field.

Okay u comparing players to now as opposed to when they were not signed...Gerhart was signed over Mojo was that a good move? No!

Letting Pot Roast and Smith walk was it a good move? I dont think so..

Trading Monroe away with hopes of Joeckel panning out, did that work? Nope!

Im not taking nothing away from Caldwell i really like him.. I just think he deserve pressure as well as Gus!
I think because of Gene and Shack David Caldwell seems better than he actually is. I mean compare him to all the current GMs at the moment, where would you rank him?

Who would you say is currently the best GM in the league?

No idea but there's about 15-20 rosters I'd take over ours so any of those guys?

And I'm willing to bet there are 15-20 current NFL coaches who would love to have this talent on their roster.

Wait so you think there's 15-20 coaches that would switch jobs with Gus today?

Is your reading comprehension failing as well?
@BrentASJax @JonGordon11 and I'm still hearing there won't be a change tomorrow either or anytime soon.

Wow

If this was September before the season started, yes.

Imo, Caldwell has only really made one mistake: Not putting enough emphasis on the offensive line.  I look at all the blossoming QBs, and they have a good offensive line.  Minnesota, Oakland, Tennessee.  I just think a good o-line makes all of your skill positions better.  Once he drafted Bortles, he should have spent big bucks building a line to protect him.  Once a QBs mind goes, it's hard to correct it.  I fear Blake may have lost his mojo because he's too concerned about the defenders getting to him (not in a cowardly way, but in a way where he's aware it's a problem, so it has his attention).

If this is true, i can find more productive things to do with my time.

I don't know its an abstract thought but I could say maybe 5 or 6 but right now I don't think anyone wants to touch this team with a 10ft pole.

Is this real? That sounds like a firing quote.

It's not hard. It's two words.

Unless Ryan O. is pulling our leg, it's real.
