Hi, Jaguars fans!
A battle of AFC South Divisonal teams and current and former Jaguars coaches are in the international spotlight as our Jaguars are up northwest in Nashville, to play the Tennessee Titans, in their 45th all-time regular season meeting between the teams, Both Jacksonville and Tennessee also lead off Week 8 of the 2016 NFL season, and both teams have adjusted and prepared from a short practice week to accomodate the NFL Network's weekly coverage, of Thursday Night Football.
Current Titans Head Coach Mike Mularkey was the Jaguars Head Coach four years ago, but left Jacksonville after finishing with a 2-14 record in the 2012 NFL season. Current Jaguars Head Coach was hired, but since and starting to the 2013 season through tonight, Jacksonville under Bradley's leadership own a 14-40 overall regular season record, including 2-4 in 2016.
Tonight is also rematch of both the Jaguars and Titans wearing their Nike NFL Color Rush Uniforms for tonight's game. Jaguars won 19-13 also on Thursday Night Football at a rainy EverBank Field on November 19, 2015. Jaguars QB Blake Bortles completed 21 of his 30 passes for 242 yards, 1 TD, and 1 INT.
Both Jacksonville will dress in their color rush gold jerseys and pants, while Tennessee will again wear their light/sky blue combined 'Smurfs' jerseys and pants.
Titans though won in the rematch and last meeting at Nissan Stadium two weeks later on December 6. Titans QB Marcus Mariota ran 87 yards from scrimmage to clinch Tennessee's 42-39 win in Nashville in December 6. Their win extends Tennessee lead in the series with 24 wins over 19 losses entering tonight.
Tonight's game will be televised international the NFL Network, with Jim Nantz and Phil Simms announcing the live TV game commentary, along with sideline reporter and interviewer Tracy Wolfson.
Frank Frangie, Jeff Lageman and Tony Boselli are also announcing the live radio game commentary and analysis on flagship stations WJXL Jax Radio 1010AM and 92.5FM, and the Jaguars Radio Network.
Mostly clear skies at 67 degrees is the game forecast inside Nissan Stadium for the 8:25PM Eastern Standard Time kickoff, along with 7% precipitation, 7% humidity, and northern winds at 5 miles per hour.
