Quote:I finally got to watch he most recent episode. What a great turn with Bernard though I hope Elsie isn't dead, I like her as the viewer's surrogate on the show.

Im going to have to go back and re-watch the first handful of episodes. I never bought into the theory that Bernard was a host. Never understood why people did.

Still loving the show and the mysteries that abound.

I read an interview with Jeffrey Wright and he said the character is most definitely dead although the actress that played her might still be around.  Make of that what you will.   Smile

Edit: Sorry, I read that to mean another character.  Didn't mean to get spoilerish if people hadn't seen all the eps.

I also read where Jeffrey Wright said
he was the one actor on show that knew he was a host from the beginning of the process.
That's unfortunate if she's dead. I like those surrogate characters in shows. Like Hurley in Lost.

My guess as to what is going on:
Ford is replacing people with hosts. Everyone from staff to maybe even board members. It's likely that a majority of the staff are hosts after seeing a host acting as a tech. They should all start questioning wether they are real or not. Ford himself might be a host as well. Maybe one of the originals. Maybe he's the one the killed Arnold.
I thought the repetitive nature of Ford's conversations with Bernard gave it away fairly early.

"You've been here a long time, haven't you Bernard? Remember your son Bernard."

I picked up on that on rewatch. Also when Ford tells him:

"I know how that head of yours works".

I guess I just pick up a lot more when reading something rather than watching. I'm sure I am not the only person like that.

Yeah I rewatched the first 5 episodes right after episode 5 aired.

It's like Hannibal Lector gave up psychiatry and ventured into robotics.

Except LOST the whole last season I'd read the boards to try and figure out what the hell was going off and when was the seven year payoff coming!

Then it ended and I looked for weeks for an explanation damn it that show screwed me!

Don't mention that show round here!
So is Ford's motivation to simply have a world that he can control? With people who won't disappoint him? I really like the show and how it's done but he's the one character that I can't figure out why he is doing what he is doing.

I think duality is a big theme in the show so far and a lot of that is manifested in Ford.
anyone else find them clicking the pause button for brief periods of time while watching this show.   Blush

I click the pause button, but mostly when Thandie Newton is nekkid.

God bless that role.
Anyone watch the finale yet? Thoughts?

I really liked it and pretty hyped for the next season. Shame it's going not be until 2018.
