"I’ll also say this. If the Jags pull out the win tomorrow, it will only be an upset in the New England markets and among media hacks who really haven’t been paying attention."

Really? I mean I give the Jags a great chance of winning. But it will not only be an upset in New England. The Jags are legit 7-8 point underdogs. They are viewed that way just about everywhere. They are a 10-6 team against the 2nd weakest schedule in the league. The Pats are 13-3 and won 11 of their last 12 in the regular season. It's ok to believe your team is going to win, and of course you should root hard for that, but NE is the legit favorite. Does not mean it will play out that way, but you are kidding yourself if you think most knowledgable football people think NE is the underdog.
It’s a team game and the jags have a better team

This will all be sorted out by 7pm tomorrow
It is a team game. Likely not an organization in the history of the NFL that has proven that more than the Patriots. They're a pretty good team. In fact they are the definition of a team, greater than the sum of their parts. I guess we'll see. If the Pats lose, I promise I will come back here and offer sincere congratulations.
I’ll very much appreciate that.

It been tough to be a jags fan the last 10 years and what better way than to usher in a new era than to have one of the most losingest franchises beat the most winningest.

I teach in Sanford. Small world, huh?

I'll take you up on that offer next time I'm in FL. I go every 4 years or so.

Any more rumors of the Jags going to London or has that nonsense (hopefully) stopped now that you're in the AFCCG?

Small world, indeed. I was in the Sanford Elks earlier this week. my place is up 109 in the Mousam Lake area near the Acton Fair.

Nobody here is too concerned about London and haven't been for a couple of years. It's too big a topic and has been beaten to death so I'll let it go at that...

I noticed very few instances of rabble rousing from Pats' fans and those 2 or 3 got banned rather quickly. They offered nothing to any conversation. The Jags posters, for the most part, were able to offer valid reasons for thinking Jacksonville will pull an upset, but also understood why NE can win.

Even if the Jags pull off this major upset, I'll be rooting for them against the NFC. However, I'm sure it won't come to that! :-)

Again, thanks for the good conversation. GO PATS!

Good stuff!  I created an account on the Steelers board last week and offered a couple posts with more "objective" observations about our team.  They never approved my posts which I thought was pretty pathetic and just kept on with their threads of biased whining.

We might have a few clowns but we have a lot good, intelligent football fans here.

Here's to a great game tomorrow!  Even if Brady is trying to create The Bloody Sock version 2.0 with his hand/glove mystique lol.

I don't agree NE is an underdog.  BUT, they also only won 11 of their last 12 because the NFL/refs took away the Steelers touchdown...and we've beaten the Steelers twice.

I do believe we will win and while yes I'm a fan it's not my fandom that thinks, it's because this team was designed IMHO to beat the Patriots.

This is the best team the Jags have ever had IMO, and without any doubt the greatest defense we have ever fielded.  We have a D-Line that creates pressure with 4; rangy, fast, athletic LBs; 2 ELITE shutdown corners; 2 top-level safeties and a CB3 who would start on every other team as their #1 or 2 guy.

This should be a fun game to watch.

New England's schedule was almost equally as easy.

I second what Darth Hoodie says.

Ha ha! I got banned for mentioning Bell not being on the injury report for last year's AFCCG. I was agreeing with a prominent Steelers' poster too! I tried joining a couple weeks ago with a different server and email, but my request was never approved!

The Bloody Sock! The stuff of legends! But yes, here's to a great game!

I've got a good friend from Peabody, MA. Class of '83. Unfortunately, she's not a good enough friend...

Jets games was an outlier. Some questionable calls and just a bad football loss. The titans are a rival. Those games shouldn’t been seen as a blue print. Cardinals are yet again a bad football loss. Following this team we have never played well on the west coast. And they were desperate. And the 9ers game didn’t matter. Once the pats beat the bills and titans lost to the rams we had won the division and was locked into the 3rd seed. People can say they’ve still had a shot at a first to round bye but that’s nonesense. The pats had the bills and jets as their last 2 opponets. Pitt had houston and the browns. The bills we’re our last hope

Again it appears you haven’t watched much of the jags this year outside of the playoff games this team rises to the big time qbs. They are arrogant and will over look  at team if they feel they are inferior. It is what it is. Their goal has been since April to win a championship and they were gonna get there however. They have looked toward the pats all year. We know but you don’t.
I haven't watched any Jags' games because there haven't been any to watch up here other than the playoffs. That should change next season.

NE never overlooks any team. They are only focused on the next opponent and from the first day of camp, the ONLY goal is to win the SB. Just getting there is not the aim. The Patriots are NOT the Steelers.

No, I didn't. You jumped into a conversation. I should have done what every else does to you and simply ignored you.

But if you want to start over, I'm OK with that...

You are correct. The pats are not the Steelers. The Steelers have way more offensive play makers and more talent than the pats and that will be painfully obvious around 7pm tomorrow
