Quote:Hiring Coughlin from outside would require a full on interview process, complete with sham Rooney Rule meetings. It's unlikely the team would want to go ahead with that, or invite the scrutiny from the league office (not to mention the media) that would inevitably follow.
Also, just no. I love Tom Coughlin as a coach, but 1996 was 20 years ago.
That shouldn't be too hard to bypass.
Shad Khan - "DeWayne, would you like to be our HC?"
Dewayne Walker - "I'd love to!!!"
Shad Khan - "That's great. Ladies and Gentleman, I'd like to introduce our new coach. Mr. Tom Coughlin!"

Bwahahahahaha
Cool. Lets create a topic based on some random person on Twitter.
Quote:No thanks, he was already run out of town once just like all of our coaches have been. Now suddenly they are all good? No coach will have success here if the talent fails to perform the most basic of football plays. Has little to nothing to do with coaching.
I actually agree with u.
It's on the players
Lol at posting something from incarcerated Bob. He's the same idiot that said Jameis Winston was point shaving his last year at FSU.

He wasn't?
I've been told Gene smith is being looked at a potential hire after passing his coaching classes at DevRy with straight As.
When was the last time a team hired a coach off the street midseason? Never?
I know there's broad sentiment inside EverBank to make this move, but at the end of the season. The team is well aware of his desire to get back into coaching.
The team would have to go through the interview process, and adhere to the Rooney rule. It won't happen mid season. If Gus is fired, Marrone would be the likely interim with an extended audition for the job. He was hired as an insurance policy from the start.
Even if were true I wouldn't be excited about it. I think coaches have a prime too, I don't think super old guys are really historically successful. Schotenheimer and Shannhan come to mind
TC the GM was fired. Not TC the coach. This guy would be 71 if he got the job. That makes me hesitant.
So let's recap
Tom Coughlin will become interim HC if the Jags lose.
Blake Bortles is a raging alcoholic.
Fans are not going to the games because of what Robinson and Greene said about the fans.
Anything I missed
He was the first to say Manning was going to the Broncos a few years back.
Lol y'all have to know incarcerated bob...
Caldwell is a crybaby...you forgot that one.

Anything I missed
Peyton Manning won the Super Bowl last year with 9 TD and 17 INT because his supporting cast.
Blake Bortles this year has 9 TD and 9 INT.
If Coughlin is hired, he will improve the #31 running game, #31 penalized team, #26 scoring defense, and #31 NFL in dropped passes.
Coughlin will hold people accountable or they won't have a job. Coughlin would improve ALL of the above and make the Jags a playoff team next year.

Even if Coughlin were dead and lying in a grave he'd still be an upgrade over Bradley.

And yet everyone in the media including former players say Peyton had an awful year and won because of defense so what does that say about Blake...

Anything I missed
- caldwell cries in the owners suite because he's a failure
- ramsey is homosexual and sure to be ejected from every game for multiple unsportsmanlike penalties
- bortles already turned down an extension with this team because he's going to go play for a winner next season
Other than those ^ I think you nailed it.

Do you work for Donald Trump? Sounds like him.
This isn't college where you have 80 players on your roster. You play who you have. They will have a job and Old Tom isn't getting rid of anyone, at least during the season.
Old Tom isn't winning anything unless Bortles improves. Is this your latest defense of Bortles - Old Tom is the magic man and Blake will get better merely by being in the presence of Old Tom?
