I don't view oline as nearly the problem y'all do though. We're set at 3 of the positions so Ragnow + a FA OG is more than good enough for me. TE and WR are way bigger needs than oline.
Ragnow won't make it to our 3rd pick. I'd be shocked if he was there at our 2nd pick.
I agree, I'd be very surprised if he's there with our 2nd round pick as well.
Ragnow has a higher reputation here than anywhere else that I've seen so I'm not so sure, but there are a lot of quality IOL and one of them will most likely be there by the end of the third.
Nelson, Hernandez, Williams, Price, Wynn, Smith, Daniels, and Ragnow...I'd be surprised if all 8 of them go by our 3rd rounder.

How do you figure? I would be ok with Ragnow in the first. The only thing with him will be health.
Ragnow didnt allow a sack in his 4 year career and is an even better run blocker.
C Frank Ragnow, Arkansas
Ragnow is nearly 6-foot-5 and weighs 307 pounds and he has 33 2/8-inch arms so he doesn’t have any physical limitations that would force him into just one offensive line position. Ragnow mostly played center the last two seasons but has played 15 career games at right guard as well and performed admirably. He has consistently been one of the better pass protecting offensive linemen over the past two seasons. In 2017, Ragnow didn’t allow a sack or QB hit and only one single hurry on his 190 pass-block snaps. In fact, he has never allowed a sack in his four-year career. Ragnow was even more effective as a run-blocker — his 93.4 run-block grade ranks No. 2 among all FBS interior
The nation’s top-graded center for two straight years, Ragnow can do it all in the run game, from moving nose tackles to locating and destroying linebackers at the second level. He’s strong in pass protection, and he’s proven capable of playing guard, adding positional versatility to the mix. With LG Andrew Norwell a free agent and C Ryan Kalil in the last year of his contract, adding depth to the interior offensive line should be a priority in Carolina. offensive lineman behind only Notre Dame guard Quenton Nelson. Ragnow’s ability to play multiple positions on the offensive line at a high level in addition to his solid all-around game merits his inclusion on this list.

Exactly. You're not finding anywhere else where people say they'd be fine taking as their first rounder. I don't see him in most two round mocks I look at. And if he is that means a different good IOL drops and that's fine too. I think we can go TE/WR first two rounds and still get a good IOL after.
Our best interior lineman was drafted in the 3rd round. That's not an indictment of our interior. That shows you where the value is on interior guys.
Impact LTs bring first round value, RTs second. Third will bring you quality interior linemen. Outliers are just that, outliers.

I would also be fine with any of those guys and in the 3rd would be great value with any of them.

Of course here you're banking that one of them falls, and if one does fall to near the end of round three, you're talking about getting the one guy among them that nobody else wanted. At that point you'd have to wonder why nobody else wanted him.
Having said that, we can probably find a really good developmental backup in round three provided we already addressed the starters in free agency.

That's exactly how we wound up with Linder. When Dave traded up to get him he said they had a tier of guards ranked as startable and once Linder was the only one left he made the move to get him. I wouldn't call that situation as "have to wonder why nobody else wanted him."

I live in MD/went to UMD and UMD WRs are always vastly underrated because they have had some of the worst QB play in the past 10 years. Torrey Smith, Diggs and Moore would all have been drafted higher if they had a competent QB.
Moore stood out in almost every game they played this year.
The nfl.com site compares him with Stefon Diggs - do you see similarities?

I see Golden Tate more so than Diggs but there are some similarities other than the Maryland connection. Diggs a more fluid route runner.
Moore does get a lot of Diggs and Tate comps, but he blows them both away athletically.

The comps are more so play style than ceiling wise.
Back to the ARob replacement: what you guys think of DJ Chark?
I only saw some highlights and I watched him play at Senior Bowl (he was good there) so I can't comment much . 6'3, had a fantastic combine (4.34 40, 40 inch vertical), could he be an option at 29?
Anyone who watched more tape of him and gives an opinion?

Moore is much thicker than Diggs and the Golden Tate comp is pretty spot on. I think Moore is a better deep ball receiver than Tate was coming out.
Moore has a ton of upside considering he has never played with an actual competent QB.
