Yes. You can. We’re fans man, and any Jacksonville-residing fans should really appreciate the out-of-town support.

I live in VA, have never permanently resided in Florida (been there a ton of times on tour) though ironically enough a decade after I’d been a Jags fan my sister’s husband was stationed there.

From Richmond Virginia, DDUUUVVAAALLLL
Hell if anything, it’s hilarious to see people’s reactions when I shout it in public here. They think I’m deranged.

Which is possibly true, but I love my Jags and I’ll be damned if I don’t deserve to participate in fandom.
DUUUVALLL is not at all about geography, it's about Jaguar fandom. You can use it anywhere as long as you're a Jag's fan. Incidentally, I wish we had a shorter, snappier phrase to express our fandom to one another when we're out and about. I'm thinking of Saints fans who recognize each other when they're not in a game day context and say "Who Dat?" A condensed version seems like a better way to represent when a full on DUUUVALLL blast might not be appropriate. Something like "Duval Ya'll" for instance.
Ummmm "allowed"?
Try and stop me
Well people are constantly yelling Jaguars, but have never actually been part of the team. I see little difference. There is nothing wrong with supporting something you have now physical connection to.
The love for duval in this thread truly is amazing.

I mean I agree with what you are saying. I just remember this is something that used to be looked down upon by those not in the know. It was looked at as a gang member thing (even tho that’s not even the case). Now all of a sudden it has been reformed into this new repacked team chant. Like stated before that chant means a little more to me than just the jaguars. Had them team left back in 2011 I would have still yelled it. But hey it is  what it is. The team is the city and im watching it grow. I’m happy about that

I feel the same way.  We use to say it and people would look at us sideways like we were hoodlums.  As the saying goes, its only bad if only we use it.  Everyone enjoy though.
I never have lived in Florida but if I am ever at a Jags game in Jacksonville I will chant it along with the crowd just to help pump up the team. But in my Indiana home I will never say it haha.
Nobody is going to get offended because you're not from the area; if they do, they have problems.

I'm born and raised in the area and i love the Jaguars, but the Duval chant is too silly for me; I don't do it.
The standard rule that is applying here is that us Duvalians that have been on the wagon and seen Gene come and go are the recognized Duval fans that have the right to Chant DUVAL
Others are more that welcome to conger all pro Jaguares at the tops of their lungs.
However I see no valid reason for the wagon jumpers from the below named Teams Clots, Tacks, tin horns, cowboys, ... etc.
Having said all that, you are most welcome to conger an all pro Jaguar at any moment preferable during football games

DUVAL
Yes you are allowed, and should holler Duval!

I live 800 miles away, nobody is stopping me!
