If he worked at Home Depot, do you honestly believe that she ever would have married him in the first place?

Probably not, because he wouldn't be the same person.   His type of person does not work at Home Depot.

There are a lot of things that make a person "attractive."   The money he has is a result of self-confidence and ability.   The money isn't who he is, it's a symptom of who he is, and I don't doubt that she married him because after the initial attraction, she loved him.   Just because a person has things about them that are attractive, that doesn't mean they can't find true love.   I was attracted to my wife because she was cute and smart.  But that's not why I married her.  Something had to happen beyond that.

Just adding up the attractive qualities in a person and saying, that's why they got married, under that formula, the more attractive qualities a person has, the more cynical your view of why they got married.  But that's way too cynical.   Trump was a handsome, successful guy, and from all reports, he can be very charming.   That's probably why he had a chance with Melania.  But just giving a guy a chance isn't enough.   They probably found some chemistry between them, opened their hearts, and found love.

What's really notable is how so many Trump supporters in this thread are willing to call the First Lady a prostitute.   But I guess I shouldn't be surprised, in the upside down world of Trump supporters, where lies are called truth and truth is called lies, Trump cheats on Melania, therefore Melania  is a whore.

^So much this^. There is no end of under the bus fodder for Trumpettes to use to defend their boy.

I actually agree with this, too.  Good lord we need a third party to win an election.
I'll throw my hat in the ring. Anyone want to start a GoFundMe account or other money begging service to kick it off?
I have not doubt Melania knew what type of person Trump was before marrying him. I find it funny that so many people (on this board included) used her lewd pictures from her past as a reason to insult her and are now changing course since they can use her victimhood to further insult Trump.

Yep. All we are missing is a socialist party led by a 100 year old man who doesn't own a brush who wants to give away free college to all.

Last I checked that man ran on the Democratic ticket.

Nice strawman, though.

No, what's missing is an actual freedom party committed to reducing the size and scope of government.

Donald Trump is actually doing a good job contrary to what CNN tells you.

When Roseanne Barr is the voice of reason, something is wrong. I can't recall ever rooting for Obama to fail, even though I didn't vote for him.

The future of this country looks bleak and that had nothing to do with the sitting president.

Ah, so by being equally sophomoric you're saying by example there's nothing wrong with it. Check.

Unless you can prove anyone criticizing Trump in this thread also insulted Melania for her photos, you're just full of [BLEEP]. What's really funny is a Trumpette who used Melania as an example of Trump being a "winner" now calling her a golddigger to deflect criticism of his boy.

I have no doubt you will look the other way regarding Trump's past, and use Bill Clinton's behavior as justification. I have no doubt you will continue to look away if his accuser's accusation of physical intimidation prove to be true. It's fun having no doubts, especially when one isn't a mind reader.

Shrilly is equivilant to masturbation jokes in a thread about dead kids? You do love you some Hillary my man.

Melania is hot and Trump out kicked his coverage landing a hottie 23 years younger than him. It's too bad Barry couldn't do the same to be honest.

If you tell me that Melania would have married Don if he worked at McDonalds, I will take back my gold digger comment.

"Shrilly" is sophomoric, and my comment was in a thread about the NRA, but thanks for playing! I feel for you, nothing worse than thinking you just took the moral high road then discovering you actually exited prematurely.

It has nothing to do with how I feel about Hillary, truth is truth.

I'm sorry if I demeaned the loving, caring and respectful romantic relationship you have with your gun as something cheap and tawdry, but don't melt, Snowflake. It's just a gun. It would kill you too, in the wrong hands.

Oh, I'm sorry. As if providing proof for you would change you lying about it. This would be no different than when you implied critics of Obama were racist. I provided quotes then and you simply changed the meaning of words. Besides, I didn't say those members were in this thread or that you were one. There is a thread about how Melania may or may not look like a hooker and even talk about her nudes.

I never called Trump a winner for Melania. I don't even know where you're getting that from. But, for the purpose of this argument, one could absolutely say he's a winner for her and her simultaneously be a golddigger. Although, I'm not calling her one; I just don't think she's surprised by these allegations made against Trump.

Clinton's problem was lying--under oath. Are you saying these two things are the same?

You "have no doubt"? If Trump lies under oath, then I'll support impeachment too. It's easy for you to make up these imaginary situations for you to accuse me of being a certain type of person.

I was in favor of impeaching Clinton for perjury.

But, that said, I would point out the existence of something they call a "perjury trap."   If Trump ever actually goes for a deposition under oath with Mueller, Mueller will ask him questions that he, Mueller, already knows the answer to, and if Trump, who has a very hard time telling the truth all the time, tells a lie, Mueller will have him on a perjury charge.   It's what happened to Clinton.

So if I were Trump, I wouldn't go near Mueller.   And I would justify my avoidance by saying, "If Mueller can give me some justification for continuing this investigation, including some way in which my testimony would be required to wrap it up, I will come in and talk to him.  But unless he can produce some evidence of collusion or some crime on my part, he can forget it.  I'm too busy making America great again blah blah blah."

I agree.

That's what they did to Flynn. I think Trump is such a hot-head that if you put him in a room with Mueller, then he's going to feel inclined to speak up and out-of-turn. Even if his lawyers speak for him, I think he's going to try and prove himself innocent and say something stupid that's going to get himself in trouble.

You keep bringing that up as if it proves something. Yes, I think more than a few of Obama's critics did not like him because of the color of his skin. I base this from personal experience. If I implied ALL of his critics felt the same way, I was wrong, but it's not an absurdity to think it was a significant number.

The topic of this thread is about Melania's "victimhood" (is this a word?), where else "on this board" are people changing course, if not here in this thread?
