More than likely.

This all but guarantees Bortles is on this team for 2018-2019 season. The Jags can’t cut him if he is injured and no way he clears medically by March 14th.

Maybe the hurt wrist was actually helping him?

Well maybe that is some of the inconsistency and explains the game planning to a degree.

Another example of a what leaders do. Play through injury for their team and still get them in the AFCCG.

He would have to fail a physical which he most likely wouldn’t.

Everything else is still in play.

It would be funny if this actually gives him Brees level accuracy lol

He's only going to be six weeks removed from surgery by the time he has to pass the physical.  That's some pretty quick healing.

You are stating your opinion as a fact. Until he comes back, it is speculation.

Maybe the inconsistency but the game planning is what it is. It wont change even if smith or cousins or eli are brought in we will still have teh same offense. These coaches do not believe in the pass only the run. Unless TC starts telling them to make a better playbook you will still have the same stale routes with lots of runs.

They saying only a 3-5 week recovery time so he might be removed by the March deadline.

If they had any inclination to not keep him they would not have had him have the surgery they would have cut him before having it. They have always planned on keeping him since they gave him the extension. There is no trade for smith or cousins or eli coming none of them just took their team to the SB (minus some questionable flags and atrocious scared coaching). This is their QB  and our QB, and he is a franchise QB. You want passing numbers get a new coach has nothing to do with the QB.

That was my first thought as well. 

But from what Blake has mentioned before, most of his stuff out there is footwork based so he can still do that.

What extension? He hasn't gotten anything. And you mean to tell me if he played as poorly as he did in 2016 they wouldn't be moving on?

I'm ok if we bring Blake back, sign ARob and draft Andrews/Goedert but let's not act like Blake wasn't on thing ice to start 2017.
