I like Mike Kaye.

I do not like this particular prediction for the Jags' picks.
There are some good players there. I just really hope pick #29 turns out with the Jags getting a player of greater immediate value to them than a slot receiver.

Love the draft outside of the first 2 rounds.

We don't need a WR and we certainly don't need Kirk. Brown could be good but I'd prefer a true interior player.

Not really a fan. We don't need to spend a first round pick on a WR. That would be a waste. Especially one that offers us nothing different than what we have in Westbrook. I also hate the Chase Litton pick. He couldn't even beat out Kessler.

I wouldn’t be happy with this draft, but at least he’s tried to do something different with his mock.

He could have taken Hernandez, Wynn, Rudolph or Gesicki at 29 - all are still available in his scenario.

And it’s interesting, because he is looks at what might happen if there is a run on tight ends in the first round.

Agreed.

I'll take Hernandez or McGlinchey here all day.  I also don't like the Brown pick in the 2nd, I don't see comparisons to Cam Robinson at all. Cam had good tape, Brown doesn't.

Disagree. 

Brown has good/great tape against sub par big 12 competition. He has a questionable work ethic to make it in the league. He's going to need time to develop his marshmallow body and his playing strength. 14 reps on the bench and the one of the worst runs timed at the combine won't cut it against the likes of Watt and Clowney. He'd get eaten alive. If he's willing to work he could be the steal of the draft. I personally wouldn't touch him in the first 2 rounds though. Just too many red flags.

Mike Kaye is about as plugged in as anyone around here locally so maybe he knows more than what the rest of us do. I agree though, we can do better than a big bodied slot WR in the first. Especially if Hernandez is still on the board.

Kaye is actually more plugged in than you realize IMO.   He doesn't dangle information from anonymous sources as often as a lot of the other twitter guys and such, but he has referred to quotes from unnamed players before and mentioned "what he's heard from someone in the building." I think he gets a morsel every now and then beyond the normal channels.  
He's been pretty on point with that kind of stuff as far as I can tell. 
That said, I seriously doubt he has any inside line on draft day strategy or intentions.

That's his role as a beat. He doesn't break news or have insider knowledge. 

He's a good guy and all and I follow him on Twitter. Just doesn't ever give us info we don't already know. His articles are pretty generic too. 

 I'd say we have the worst situation from a beat writer stand point. We have no insiders and we have no info other than what the teams tells us. Almost every other team have much more available.

Overall it's not bad... just that first round pick.

As for Brown, I get it but there are surely better options to play RG. Browns is a physically dominating OT that probably starts full-time at RT in the NFL, but he's a kind of tall for a G.

There are a couple other OTs who should be able to easily start a RG and then maybe one day move outside. In particular, Martinas Rankin and Jamarco Jones. A round later I'm looking at Austin Corbett.

Other than the first round pick (in which I'd take the three proceeding picks over Kirk), it's a pretty solid draft imo.

His camp stuff is pretty legit. Maybe I'm unduly harsh on him but I've never read an article he's written and learned something new about the team.

I follow him on Twitter since he is usually a little quicker than Ryan O to break news, plus he seems like a cool guy and will usually respond to tweets.
