Both QBs are healthy. Do you think Blake takes those Colts teams to 11-5 records and an AFC championship game? Those Colts teams had no run game and no defense. Blake has both. If a healthy Luck is in this Jags team, they’re SB favorites.

They are Super Bowl contenders as it sits right now.  I'm not sure Luck adds much to that.  Luck had guys like Hilton and Wayne he was throwing to during that time, so acting like he had no weapons is incorrect.  Not to mention Gore.
I didn’t say contenders. I said the favorite.

Wayne was old and not the same guy who was with Peyton. Hilton is solid. So he had 1 guy? Gore will guarantee you 60 yards but that’s it. They still had no run game, no OLine and no defense. And went 11-5 consistently. Why is that?

I love Blake and have continually said I think he has his best season this year. He’s just not the talent Luck is (or was).

I'd take a healthy Luck as well, for regular season purposes I guess........but not because of what he'd accomplish in the playoffs.  I guess as a regular season guy.  I do so begrudgingly....while acknowledging it is moot as to a "healthy Luck"

To date, the data seems to indicate Luck folding up when the chips are down in the postseason, not so with BB5.

Frankly, with the game on the line in the playoffs, I'd say I'd feel more comfortable with Blake getting it done, some how, some way, with true grit along, over Luck.  That hardly translates to a justified "Favorite" status with Luck, other than a narrative pushed without a good reason.

Regardless, pretty moot.  BB5 is our guy, and Luck isn't a "healthy Luck".

Based on this, I'd rank it, for this team, BB5, Mariotta, Watson, and clot QB.

I also factor in that Watson was a turnover machine while at clemson with an amazing defense and couldn't help but throw crazy INTs.....not to mention a small sample size of great NFL success, before the usual adjustments made by NFL D's.
While on the shuttle bus for parking at JIA earlier this week a few guys in their mid-20s, reeking of alcohol, started up a convo about the prospect of the Jags this year. One remarked that he thought Bortles would mature even more this season to which I replied that maybe he had stopped partying so much, if those rumors were true. That prompted a strong reaction out of all them with one stating that he saw Bortles was in such and such a bar at Jax Beach "all the time" during the previous seasons. So who knows, maybe being so close to a SB appearance, coupled with adult leadership on the sidelines, will bring us the best Bortles we've ever seen this year.
