Quote:Are you trolling or really slow?  If you are up multiple scores you are most likely to win a game.  Sure there are instances where a team losses while up multiple scores but that is against the odds.  Yes the Jags won after being down in that situation but was their second time in TEAM HISTORY! The last time was 1996.

Have you forgotten this little hidden gem of a game, in 2014, with an all-time historic Jags comeback, amid an ugly and otherwise forgetful season?

Down 21-0 at the lowest point and down 21-3 at the half, and the Jags coming into the game with a record of 1-10.

What were the odds that the Jags would have comeback in that game, at the half?

I wish I was at that game instead of the next one against the Texans, which we lost. Fox made me really mad by not showing it.  Wallbash
Quote:Your logic does not take into account every team's decision to get the ball in the second half. Momentum is why they do it.

It could also be because they just would rather have the second half kickoff for whatever reason.

Logic only has two answers.

Logic only has two answers.

The reason is they want to keep momentum going if they have the ball last in the second quarter.

Referring to the 4th quarter.  We haven't overcome a situation like that since 96
Jagibelieve, I believe.

I declare thee winner of this thread, and that's final.

Logic, only has two answers; circular reasoning, one...
Epic thread

Oh, you were referring to a double digit comeback in the 4th quarter.

So the Jags pull one of those off every 20 years.

That's not good, not good at all.
Quote:Nope.  Football is all about skill.

Football does not require much skill compared to other team sports; only a little bit comes down to skill.

Speed, strength, agility, hand-eye coordination, dexterity, intelligence . . . Do I need to say anything else? No other team sport requires all of that to the degree football does.

OK then bub. 14 wins. Count that. Go look at how many games under Gus where we scored on the 1st drive of a game.

Are you saying the Jaguars never had an opening drive TD under Gus Bradley? I don't believe that.

No troll, I asked him to go check. Reading is fundamental.

Exactly, none of those things are skill.
This preseason. one of those games.

100% disagree. It's a rehashed rhetoric. The number of games played seasonally in other sports alone, and the length of time per game, and continuity, balances out the well documented physical rigors of football. It's as intense and intriguing a sport as there is. Doesn't have to assume a phantom top ranking vs. incomparable competition.
