#Jaguars All-Pro CB Jalen Ramsey was suspended by the team for a week, sources say, after going after local media for what he believes is unfair treatment of his teammates especially Dante Fowler. He authored several tweets in support of his teammates & disdain for local media.

The #Jaguars confirm that CB Jalen Ramsey and DE Dante Fowler have each been suspended for incidents that occurred Sunday.
Sometimes you forget these morons are barely 20.
Figured he'd have a meeting with the brass about his tweet, but I didn't think they'd suspend him for it. Granted it is a preseason suspension, so it's essentially an excuse to keep him in bubblewrap and not risk injury for another week.
I wonder if the jags can handle this new success. Serious question. Do the jags have the leadership to keep themselves grounded?

Not necessarily. More of the "winning attitude" they been showing since last year. .
The is the first time I've ever heard of a player being suspended for a tweet, and I really don't see what's so outrageous about either tweet.

Seems more like a "we're going to knock this out before it starts"
It will suck if it is regular season suspensions.(One week starting now) They did it to Fournette last year.
edit, If it's preseason then it is not really punishment at all.
Would it kill these guys to put together semi-legible sentences for the youth whom may look up to them as role models?

Sucks to not have him in the joint practices. Wanted to see him against Diggs and Thielen.

To my knowledge, all suspensions are regular season so this means to Ramsey vs OBJ.
I'm getting a little worried about week one. The Jaguars have their work cut out for them on the road to start the season.
Just for clarification, what did Phillip Heilman write?
I think this is more along the lines of the front office saying "nobody is bigger than the team".
Ramsey is on top of the world right now and if any player would get special treatments, it would be him. I think this is the front office showing that they're not going to give special treatments and hold everybody accountable evenly. No matter the status of said player.
Easy way for them to set an example for everybody on this roster, as well as having it not really hurt the team in the long run. We got 3 weeks before it gets real. If this is just a week during this preseason, it's not a huge deal and better to set the example and get it out of the way now.
