Boy o boy, what a mess that officiating crew was. If that's a precursor to how they're going to call games this season, we're going to be in for a lot of terrible games.

This new rule/s is definitely going to determine the outcomes of some games. The players don't even know what's a flag, or whats not a flag anymore. The fans/media are confused as well and it's obvious that the officials trying to make these calls don't have the slightest clue either.  Wallbash

On a different note though...

Harrison was all over the field today. It's going to be interesting to see how they work him into the game plan each week.

But their numbers are identical....hmmm

Uhhhhhh............... No.

Called Blake "worrisome" after a couple bad throws.  Hell, I figured he would look rough missing 40% of his starting o line and his starting TE.  But "dont take too much" from Cousin's afternoon.  I like Cousins but good Lord he looked TERRIBLE today. Definitely not work 84million GUARENTEED.

Right? Cousins was awful and our best CB was out. I would be concerned about the guy who just signed a mega deal passing for 12 yards. But alas, lamestream media sources and their lazy "hot takes" ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
To be fair Borts played a whole quarter and a little more against 2nd team. Playcalling was basically run run screen though. Can't put that on Borts. Although that's kinda the playbook anyways.
I think it’s safe to say Minnesota won’t want to do join practices or play a preseason game with us anytime soon.

Quote:“List was so long I don’t remember the exact number, so I’ll just wait until we put them on IR,” Vikings coach Mike Zimmer said, via Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press.

Offensive guard Cedrick Lang will undergo surgery on his right leg, according to Zimmer, and is headed for injured
reserve.

Defensive end Ade Aruna injured his right knee and left the locker room on crutches, per Tomasson.

Receiver Jeff Badet is in concussion protocol after taking a flagged hit to the head.

Center Josh Andrews injured his ankle, and fullback Johnny Stanton hurt his left leg.

Cornerback Mackensie Alexander will undergo an MRI on his ankle Sunday, though X-rays showed no fracture.

Don't sell Mickens short as our punt returner. While his per attempt average was close to zero, he made real good decisions, fielding several punts that would have rolled to the one yard line if he hadn't fielded them.
Kudos to:

Rashad Greene for a terrific punt return, which came at crunch-time. Combined with outstanding WR skills exhibited throughout camp so far, Rashad earned one of the WR roster spots.

Tyler Patmon for exhibiting the type of play worthy of a roster spot.

T. J. Yeldon for exhibiting the type of pride which leads to excellent preparation and on to excellent performance.

I thought Kessler deserved a Purple Heart with all the hits he took--and he still had an off-the-charts completion percentage.

I'll also call it right now---Ngakoue is going to be the Defensive MVP this year.

I might be a little shallow minded, but Mickens' ability to go down on punt coverage and field the punt for the other team inside the 10, makes me want him on our special teams unit.  I think we benefit from keeping Greene and Mickens. Big fan of Mickens and his wildcard status.  How can we make that happen? Dump and extra d-lineman or TE this year.  We need to keep 7 receivers from this bunch.

I saw that I can only think of it as a writer trying to manufacture a story out of nothing. You don't pay a QB 18 million per year and then trade for another QB after a few bad throws in a preseason game with zero gameplanning.

Only if he changes his sack dance.  YIKES!
See, you don't need to draft a punter in the 3rd round to find a good one.

I'm officially a Cooke fan.

I liked that sack dance! The NFL needs to "get with it" and stop dictating what is and what is not appropriate. I saw nothing wrong with his dance.

It was borderline obscene.  Saw something similar Friday night with the same result.  Atlanta game I believe.  They are gonna throw a flag on that every time.
At least Fred drastically cut down the use of "amazing" yesterday.
I don't mind Sexton. Can never forget his epic fail on How Wants To Be A Millionaire. Was so cocky with Regis Philbin, then he flamed out immediately.
Boselli, is unlistenable (made up word?). Sounds like he has a mouth full of marbles.
Frangie trys too hard. Sounds like a HS announcer. Embarrassing.

After reading several articles online one would think Cousins lit it up. Most focused on BB bring, "worrisome, uneven, struggling." Cousins sucked. Our D was part of thevproblrm, but the Vikings fans have to be panicking after that atrocious performance.

As dumb as I think it is, you're right. Lewd celebrations and throat slashings are going to get penalties every time and the players know it. If Yan would have done almost any other celebration it would have been fine, and I suspect when the regular season comes he'll do just about any other celebration.

The only thing good about Sexton is his ability to recall Jaguar history. As an announcer, he's average at best...maybe OK as a fill-in. Jacksonville now deserves better than Sexton, Frangie, Taylor and, especially, Boselli. Time to move on and hire professionals, the team did with FO personnel and players.

Then there's John Gaughan (sp?) with the weather on one of the news stations. Good grief. Is it going to rain around Noon or not?

Oops, better stay on topic- ah, let's see...

I like this but it really can't happen at the expense of D-line depth and we need TE's for BB5's dink and dunk offense. I loved seeing Mickens under that punt, seemed like he was waiting about 3 minutes for it to come down.
Jags are ready to rock. The team is scrappy. Kessler looks like a vast improvement over Chad Henne. The RBs look very solid. Yeldon is in midseason form and Brandon Wilds looks like a good thumper and short-yardage guy. There is talent at WR and the pecking order will work itself out. Excellent depth at DB and DL. Not deep at LB but Leon Jacobs is a beast and could be the answer at SLB for a long time.

I just see a team ready to go out and play against anybody. The Jags have a lot of paths to victory. They can win with offense, defense or special teams.
Blake continues to be inconsistent one game to the next. This preseason game was not his best, aside from a few plays.

Fournette was not impressive, but the line was not giving him much assistance.

The WRs were solid. No one appears to be commanding the leading role though.

When ASJ is out, the next best TE to me is O'Shaughnessy. I am not feeling Paul yet and Koyack is invisible.

Solid defensive play continues, and Patmon played well as a replacement for Jalen.
