Is it me or did Fournette look incredibly slow and lethargic with terrible vision?

I didn’t see slow and lethargic, but I saw the lack of vision on two plays. It’s a concern, but a fairly minor one IMO as Hackett will play to his strengths. And his strengths are pretty damn strong.

I saw not much running room against a strong run defense that pursues well.

He continues to exceed my expectations for him in the passing game, but he continues to confirm my doubts about him as anything more than a short yardage/wear you down over 20+ carries back.

They were the #1 rush defense last year. He "struggled" his way to over 1000 yards and 10tds while missing 3 games last year. Not too worried.

Definitely, but he missed a wide open cutback lane (like he did several times last year) and he blew a chance  to bounce outside by spinning into a defender instead.

I’m definitely nit picking but this has long been my analysis of his skill set and he’s not proving me wrong yet - so it stands out to me. Perhaps more than it does to others.

That's what I saw. There was nowhere to go with Linder, Norwell and Parnell out against that defense. Better off just protecting himself than getting hurt in a meaningless preseason game.

Visions hard to judge. But two weeks into training camp, everybody's legs are feelin' it. He'll be fine.
Funny article by Minnesota writer just roasting Bortles and saying Jags should go after Teddy. I'm thinking Minny better be worried about their own QB situation. They paid a very average QB $28M a year. They'll pay the price when those defensive studs leave to get paid.

If Yan would have done almost any other celebration it would have been fine, and I suspect when the regular season comes he'll do just about any other celebration.

NFL= No Fun League

If what Ngakoue did is what you consider fun, I suggest you skip watching football and go see a male review.

I think you will find that much more entertaining.

At this point, this seems accurate. I was very optimistic at over the offseason 4nette would work on putting some juke moves into his game to try and make people miss from time to time. It appears that he will just go into the season with the patented 4nette spin move and run over mentality. He obviously still has time to work on it, but unfortunately I don't think we will be seeing any of that this season. I wish this team had a rb who could make people miss in the open field. The screens would be so much more deadly. The closest thing we got is Grant, but he just tries to run by you and for whatever reason has a unique ability of not getting on the field when everyone sees its clear he needs to be on the field more.

Is that something you can learn?  I think you've got it or you don't.  If he had the ability to juke a guy or make a sharp cuts, he would have been doing so since he first started playing football as a kid.  But he just doesnt have that ability.  He is a straight line guy with great speed and power.  But he isn't making anybody miss.  And isnt making something out of nothing.

Thanks for the info and he's an idiot
"against a Patriots defense that was shredded by Nick Foles and the Patriots two weeks later in the Super Bowl at U.S. Bank Stadium."

Bold statement for a guy who's "#1 defense" team was beat 38-7 by that same QB the week before.

But their numbers are identical....hmmm

Oh my God NO WAY!...
I wouldn't mind seeing defense stepping it up a little on kick and punt returns. The Vikings were getting more yardage than optimal.

I know right!

Fournette is a big and fast running back. He’s perfect for the playoffs. And when we are holding a lead. Bc he can pound it down their throats.

Fournette has the potential to run for some where in the neighborhood of 1500 yards and 13-15 touchdowns. He’s a straight up stud.

Called Blake "worrisome" after a couple bad throws.  Hell, I figured he would look rough missing 40% of his starting o line and his starting TE.  But "dont take too much" from Cousin's afternoon.  I like Cousins but good Lord he looked TERRIBLE today. Definitely not work 84million GUARENTEED.

Right? Cousins was awful and our best CB was out. I would be concerned about the guy who just signed a mega deal passing for 12 yards. But alas, lamestream media sources and their lazy "hot takes" ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The writer was trying to pull a fast one on the fans, but even the most gullible can see through that. The Vikings fans will call him out and question if they're the next team (on a long list of teams) to drop a ton of dough on an average QB
