He's just saying what we all already knew. Lack of aggression and playing safe is what lead to our demise (along with some highly questionable officiating.. lol).

He's not wrong. When I saw the gutless decision to sit on the ball at the end of the half I had a bad feeling that the team had stopped playing to win and started playing not to lose.

couldn't agree more

Jalen Ramsey says stuff like this.... but he is a kid. Doug Pederson is a grown up.
that being said... I agree w him.

I've been shouting this from the mountaintops since halftime of that game.
I don't think they necessarily coached "scared."
I think they thought they could take their foot off the gas and still win that game with conservative defense and ground attack.
They should have damn well known better.

Every one knows you don't play scared against Tom Brady. Some people (Marrone?) think they can be the exception, but they usually learn the hard way.
I do believe, however, that Marrone will learn from this mistake and do better if given another chance.
Also, Pederson is going to be a good coach for a long time. It just seems to have it.

I have no idea why they stopped throwing the ball to Grant. The Pats couldn't stop him.

That's how every team loses to the stupid Patriots.

This is like saying water is wet. Once they started coaching gus Bradley style it was over. The defense all played very soft on that 3rd and a mile pass that broke the Jags back. Can't change the past but hope the next time we are sending the house at brady.,

The thing that bothered me the most was the carry over into the second half. The entire team sat back, including the defense who played soft zone when the DBs are begging for man.

This 100%
I remember thinking, "How on Earth do you give up a scoring opportunity when you are playing Tom Brady?"
I knew that would set the tone setter for the second half and we saw it.

Can't change the past hopefully everyone learned from it.

Coaches do this from time to time, I don't know why. Maybe they teach it in Coach School or something. With that said, I give Marrone credit for getting us there in the first place and having us 5 minutes away from playing in the Superbowl.

Time to move on!

He's just figured this out? We've known it since that day. It's done. Move on.

The kneeldown before halftime was puzzling. He probably thought the pats had gained some momentum after the refs allowed em to score.
Jags played a good game. Marrone done a great job. Easy to second guess but what would be said if he had tried to get in field goal range and had a turnover allowing brady back on the field.
