It wasn't Jalens best game thats for sure. I dont know, he seems a bit slow. Even in the preseason he did.
Looks like it was his mouth that took the most reps than his body during the offseason

I'm sure he'll be humbled a little bit, and get his focus back
Lets see if he can back up the talk against Gronk this week.

Yep. He had nothing but love for OBJ, but he trashed talk Gronk. Said he isn't that good, Brady makes him, he could be 1st team all pro with Brady, and that when a CB is on him he doesn't do well. This one is on Jalen.

Right now though... Ramsey has been spot on. He called Ryan overrated... that L was on him on Thurs. Said OBJ makes Eli... fact. Let's see if he goes 3/3.

Agreed.

Also, Xavier Rhodes>>>>Ramsey. No one is saying Ramsey sucks but he is not as good as he thinks he is... or as people on here think.
Ramsey bent but did not break. It's the same thing that happened with Brown. I don't care about yardage. Did he beat him for a TD and did it go down in the books? Nope. My biggest gripe with Wash. And it's the same [BLEEP] we saw in Arizona and San Francisco last year. This cover two and three [BLEEP].

Tired of seeing it. And I won't make too many excuses but had it not been for two or three pick plays or "unintentional" rub routes ODB doesn't finish with over 100 yards on the day. And if you have to cheat to beat Ramsey. That's all the testament he needs. We still kept them in check at 15 points. And we still got a pick six off of them.

But I would like to see Wash treat this defense how Zimmer treats his with the Vikings. Need more overload blitz packages out there and man-to-man coverages. Jack and Smith are too damn fast not to be taking a few shots off the edge with. Especially against Eli's ancient [BLEEP]. Church was all over the place yesterday. A few good blitzes here and there and he probably makes a play or two on a bad pass.
Sometimes, loudmouths need to be shut down in order to be reminded that no one is invincible. This game should only make Ramsey a better player. It was nice to see the sportsmanship between the two guys at the end of the game when they exchanged jerseys.

I literally turned to my friend yesterday and said “why are we running zone?”

We are a man team. We have the corners and rush to do it. I don’t mind mixing in disguised zone, blitzes etc but it did seem like there was way too much soft zone yesterday. Brady’s licking his chops if that’s the kind of defense we’re gonna show them this Sunday
A W is a W is a W.

Giants in the rearview mirror.

Patriots coming to town, that should have our full attention.

This! More than half of those yards were on picks and rub plays and the rest weren't even against Ramsey. OBJ did have him beat legit twice in the endzone though and Eli missed him. Which btw, backs up exactly what Ramsey actually said. Furthermore, if u actually follow the Jags, then you know we always get eatin up in zone. I have no idea why we don't stick with more man. It seems like if we get any kind of lead, Todd wants to get into a soft zone.

That graphic still leaves out 2 things. 1. Several of those man plays were rub plays and 2. He scored 0 points (other than style points)

thought this team would learn after a decade of being picked apart in zone

def thought they would learn after letting the patriots come back due to switching to zone in the 2nd half of the AFCCG... but nope.. still a TON of soft zone coverage that any NFL QB can beat

just baffles me... zone here n there as a mixup is great, zone blitzes are great, but this team should not be playing anywhere close to as much soft zone as it does

ya, many of those were pick plays though or rubs, OBJ is impossible to guard, let alone with picks/rubs

When you have a player of Odell’s quality, you can’t keep him from winning at least some of the battles. At least 40 of #13’s yards came against other defenders with most of his total being against zone.

Also, OBJ is crafty, look how he uses Jag defenders sitting in the zone to pick off, rub Jalen Ramsey to get separation.

I know. I actually think it shows Jalen did very well. Especially when we consider the picks/rubs.

He didn't get worked over like some want to claim.
So. Let me get this straight. Ramsey keeps Beckham under 100 yards with rub routes and pick plays designed to get him free on at least two of those big catches. And he didn't give up a single TD to him but somehow he's laughed at?

Hmmmmmmmm. Okay.....

Sounds like Ramsey won to me. A lot of people are full of [BLEEP] right now if they think otherwise.
When did OBJ put it on Ramsey?

He had no big deep plays on him he didnt Moss him for a td or even score a TD

He beat him once for a 21 yard catch and had the PI on Ramsey, other then that all OBJ did was catch a bunch of crossing rub routes and padded his stats

Putting it on a guy is when your just burning him all game, and that did not happen

Yup. Essentially a wash IMO.

^^^This

I sort of understand him catching a little grief from the media because that is what they do. But our own fans sitting here taking shots is stupid. These people either don't understand football schemes or they didn't watch the game.
