Normally he backs up his mouth and no one can say anything until you don't back it up, which he didn't yesterday. If you would have told me OBJ would have over 100 yards receiving and Barkley would have over 100 yards and a TD and we'd still win the game I would have laughed.

Ramsey keeps ODB under 100 yards with rub routes and pick plays designed to get him free on at least two of those big catches and he didn't give up a single TD to him but somehow he's laughed at?
Hmmmmmmmm. Okay.....
Sounds like Ramsey won to me. A lot of people are full of [BLEEP] right now if they think otherwise.
^^^This
I sort of understand him catching a little grief from the media because that is what they do. But our own fans sitting here taking shots is stupid. These people either don't understand football schemes or they didn't watch the game.
Not only that. But ODB is the highest paid receiver in the NFL right now. And he was shutout in the red zone. Even Ronde was pointing out the illegal pick plays and rub routes.
It's pathetic around here with some of our own fans. You would think they were Giants fans or something.
"hahahahahhahahahaha yeah it's real cool that our best player had a few passes caught on him that weren't technically legal against arguably the best receiver in the game. Hahahahahahahhahahahaha".
Dumb [BLEEP] fans on here man.

Ramsey didn't give up a 100 yards. The secondary did collectively. He lined up against Bouye too because Wash is in love with [BLEEP] Zone 2 or Zone 3 for some dumb [BLEEP] reason. I guess maybe they believe too much in the bend but don't break rule. And other than Barkley getting away with a big run he was bottled up throughout most of the day.
But, again. Why does it surprise you? Why would you laugh? ODB is officially the highest paid receiver in the NFL. Barkley is the highest drafted and graded RB to come out in a long time. Other than that one run he was shut down. [BLEEP] happens. The defense got caught napping after that pick six on the previous drive. Same exact [BLEEP] happened last year in New York against the Jets.
Most of OBJs yards cane against zone and a illegal pick so... I'm not understanding anything about this thread. His catches in man were all slants and crossing routes for 5 yd gains woopdy doo...
There were a lot more opportunities for OBJ to get some huge plays. The pass rush bailed the secondary out most of the game forcing quick low throws. I'm not going to say they were beat like a drum all day but it wasn't pretty.
Let's just thank god that they stuck with awful Eli at QB this offseason. If they connect on one of those TDs when OBJ burned us deep it could have been a very different game.

Very few teams have the manpower on offense yo stretch us like they did.
OBJ
Engram
Shepherd is good
Barkley
A superstar WR, a good #2, a very good receiving TE, a potential star RB, and Eli. Not an Eli fan, but he has won 2 SBs. Holding that to 15 points is impressive IMO
Most teams dont have that on multiple offensive levels. That's a very tough matchup when they're healthy.
Jalen didn't talk any trash about OBJ, he only mentioned him, in a positive way, when talking about Eli Manning.
Quote:Eli [Manning] ... It’s not really Eli. I think it’s Odell [Beckham, Jr.]. I won’t say Eli’s good, I’ll say Odell’s good. And their connection is good.

I'm so happy you pointed all this out, your opinions sincerely suck... suck less
Oh no, I think I am gonna cry.
So my opinions suck because I don't believe Ramsey is the best CB in the league and the GOAT? ok lol.
He had to hold Beckham on that PI because he was gonna get burned for a TD.
OBJ won, it was pretty clear for everyone outside this MB.

Well you do make asinine comments like the one above. Or perhaps the national media is 'people on here'.
I'm curious what he 'won'.

I know they added Solder in the offseason but I think their offensive line is one of the worst in the league if I'm not mistaken. That and an average defense. They are loaded with star power on offense. Eli has always just been Eli but he needs protection.

Ya that guy Antonio Brown? He absolutely destroyed us and we had good coverage on him and he still destroyed us when we were playing man coverage. With OBJ alot of it was on 3rd and longs where we are dropping in zones and that pick play, no question he beat Ramsey a couple times and he is the 2nd best WR in the game but let's chill out on acting like Ramsey is trash because he cant guard OBJ. Maybe before the illegal contact rule he could but nowadays where no contact is allowed it's really tough. Ramsey is a premium level player and OBJ had nothing but praise and love for him after the game to the media and same with Eli,so ya he got 111 yards and 11 catches but that doesnt mean Ramsey didnt play well. Not like he is going against some garbage WR like AJ Green or Cory Davis who he can legit run routes for. I get it expectations are extremely high for Ramsey and he likes it that way but we also have to be realistic and say hes not just gonna absolutely shut down an All-Pro.
I don't think anyone said that Ramsey is trash. I personally think Ramsey is the best corner in the game. That being said he runs his mouth non stop like he is shutting everyone down. He got beat a few times pretty good today so be humbled by it.
I do admit the Jags were playing a bunch of that loose zone that allowed beckham to find the holes.
Love all the "fans" trying to bash Ramsey.
Zone for most of the game and Ramsey never talked trash about Odell.
He said Eli isn't good, Odell is good.
And if you take away 11 for 111, Eli had a pretty average day lol So maybe it is all Odell
Ramsey talked smack about 20 or so QBs. And nothing happened yesterday to discount anything he said lol

Didn't you know that it was this message board and Ramsey himself that voted him first team All Pro?

OBJ won against zone... they didn't man up on him nearly that much... so take from it what you will
But... OBJ lost the game, so... stat it up I guess.
Also.. your opinions don't suck because you don't think Ramsey is the best (though he is). Your opinions suck because you make them and they are not good, hence "suck".
(If your opinions were worth a flip, I would imagine you wouldn't have a negative rating...just guessing)

I thought the Giants eeked out a win with all the Barkley love going on. Honestly though our team needs to get the oline going and open holes not just for Fournette.
Seriously, we win, are the better team, and all the talk is about one busted play for Barkley? It was a bit annoying, I thought we might be past that, but I guess I better get used to it. Will take years of winning to change this.
Ramsey earned a coverage grade of 52.4 when covering Beckham, allowing five of the seven targets to be completed for 75 yards.

Agree, the Steelers, Chiefs, and Falcons are the only teams I can think of with the firepower NYG have.
We have some really crazy delusional fans . We won, let the Gmen struct around like a crazed rooster if that makes them feel big in their big city
Ramsey has a newborn baby at home less than 2 months old. I don't know about anyone else who has had kids but he can't be getting good sleep and that has to affect play.

I always wished they would say when those catches were made when they add this stuff up so we can go back and look at them.
I saw two plays where Ramsey appears assigned to Beckham, but Smith or Jack are playing zone in the flats/curls/outs. When Odell stops, he's no longer Ramsey's assignment. Those two plays went for 30 yards total. That doesn't include the pick for another 15+ gain.

I agree that he gave up some plays. but some of the stats don't paint the whole picture. Take the soft zone coverage we ran on third and 20 which Jaylen gave up 12 yards but didn't allow the 1st down and got the D off the field, shouldn't be considered a good play by OBJ... it was a meaningless comeback route where he didn't even get to the sticks.
