Sounds smart..Chiefs game is probably going to require a lot of passing so it’s probably wise to rest Leonard for a bit. Bo Scarborough honestly could be interesting, I didn’t realize he was a practice squad player for the cowboys. If he’s available, can we cut Rashad Greene? Please I’m so honestly over his waste of a roster spot
So we can go another 5-1 without him?
Not a not a knock on LF but I think we found we’re okay without him.
You can get a great RB in the second round. Never again get one in the first.

4nette is worth a first round pick if he can stay on the field. I don't agree. Once a decade or so I can live with that.

It's nothing he can control but as Bill Parcells says, "the best ability is availability." Good back when healthy but will he ever be able to remain healthy remains to be seen. Fred Taylor got the nickname "fragile fred" before he proved he could stay healthy. I hope Fournette has better luck. Team should put him on short IR and bring him back when that hamstring is 100%.
I guess Fred Taylor was a bust because he couldn't stay healthy early in his career either.
Powerful guys with fast twitch muscles are prone to soft tissue injuries due to their ability to put more stress on their muscles than the average person.
He may need to take a page out of Fred's playbook and focus heavily on his diet. Fred credited healthy eating for his ability to avoid soft tissue injuries later in his career.
Injuries certainly can derail careers, and Fournette has had some bad luck in that department early in his career. I don't think anyone here can sanely say Fournette is a bust based on lack of talent.... That said, he needs to be shut down at least until after the bye. If we can get to 5/6 wins prior to the bye, and have a fresh Fournette for week 10+ thats is a huge bonus for our offense.

If Mickens doesn't start making some smarter decisions Greene may be back at PR. Mickens has not looked good thus far and he made some very poor decisions in that jets game.
Personally - I wish they'd let Westbrook handle the punts in KC.

Not worried about Fournette. Give him a few weeks and he should be ready to contribute.
Im done with fournette.. imagine if we took mahomes... i advocated fournette at 4.. man was i wrong on this one

You can find them anywhere outside the first. How thankful are we Dallas took Zeke instead of Ramsey?
Just look at the game tonight. Hunt in 3rd, Freeman 5th, Lindsay UDFA

FWIW - I advocated Mahomes in the first
if the Jags took a QB early, but I recommended him in a trade down to #12-16 IIRC. The chefs traded up to 10 to get him. So my call wouldn't have panned out. I did like him over the other standard top QB prospects on the big boards at least.
He'd have clearly been a better pick than Fournette at this point in their young careers.
Gallman in the fourth was my RB choice. Hard to know how good he is behind Barkley on the depth chart and behind a bad O-Line. He's healthy though...
I still think Fournette can earn his keep, even if he never lives up to the draft position.
I mean realistically who else would we have taken? Derek Barnett? Hassan Reddick? Marshon Lattimore? OJ Howard? Jonathan Allen? Not really anyone game changing there outside of Lattimore, someone highly redundant in our defense and has been beaten like a drum so far this season.
Assuming we had no plans to take a QB of course

Aptly stated. Nutrition is key for all athletes indeed, but this is simply going to require rest, and the plan designed by his physios to get the hamstring back to playing shape.
Mild hammy strains last about a week. Moderate variety can linger for about 2 up to 6 weeks. Severe strains can take up to 10 weeks to fully heal, in an average person. Worst case scenario, as inferred, he could be fully good to go by 4th quarter, when real ball is played. It could be a blessing in disguise for the Jags, if they string enough Ws along the way.
It is counter productive to speed the process only to get a setback, which just occurred. Considering the level of treatment he's been receiving, he'll be fine and should return in reasonable time.

I don't recall Mickens making poor decisions. Can you elaborate?

Vs jets - he botched field position by letting two punts hit the ground and bounce backward rather than getting under them and fielding - or fair catching them. In a prior game he missed a big opportunity to get up the sideline by dancing squarely into the teeth of the coverage unit.
DeMarco Murray retired after being cut by the Titans in the summer and not getting picked up. Wonder if the Jags can get him.
LF......if you have a hamstring problem , do you think it’s a good idea to be helping 320 lb. linemen to get up off the ground?
I mean, he's clearly not a bust, but damned if this hamstring isn't frustrating...
But it's better than a torn acl or a broken leg I guess. If nothing else though, this right here is WHY you don't overpay your running backs.
And for the record, at the time of the draft, I was hoping for Kamara. Pipedream, that was.

I’m not saying he’s a bust but how is he clearly not a bust?
He was drafted #4 overall and has missed quite a few games already. He had injury issues at LSU and has them here.
Are his yards per carry higher than his draft slot yet? He has still yet to come close to living up to his worth even purely when judged by what he's done on the field. The injuries are just insult to...injury...no pun intended.
Imagine Earl Thomas 2.0 Malik Hooker patrolling the back of our defense for the next decade, or PFFs current #2 do it all freak athlete TE OJ Howard being a stud blocker for Yeldon, and a stud pass protector helping Wells in rough matchups, or being Blake's security blanket chain mover while also being a mismatch field stretcher.

My reasoning? Because it's still early. And he did, in his rookie season, facing stacked boxes again and again, put up 1000 yards, and almost reached double digit TDs.
Now, should this injury crap keep hampering him, throughout this season and the next? Then you gotta start worrying about that word. Just based on his ability to punch through a Dline to score in the redzone right now, I'd say he's not yet a bust. If he struggled to do even that this last year, then I'd say it's more fair to use the word.
I'm not thrilled about drafting him as high as they did - I wanted them to go in another direction the whole time. But they did, and we're stuck with him for now. He's still a very good back when he plays. They just need to get him healthy first.
If that doesn't happen, THEN we can start talking about Bust status. Remember, Yeldon was being considered a bust for a good while, but he's still on the team showing that he's a useful piece. Is he a bust then? Probably not.
A bust, at least to me, is somebody who is completely, absolutely, almost incomprehensibly, worthless to the team. Mr. Luke the Joke, to me, was a bust. And is. Now THAT was a waste of a pick.
