This is the week when we need our defense to generate turnovers
After watching the game last night I expect the Jags to win easier than I had first anticipated. The chefs defense is the worst I've seen in a while. Their offense is gimmicky at best and relies on the pre-snap movement to get the defense out of alignment. Stay in the face of the QB, press receivers, and have strong LB play and this becomes a big win.

We have to stay strong on D the entire time. The KC offense will slash and gash given a sliver of opportunity. Their offense is a legitimate dual threat, IMHO.
The Chiefs pass D really isn't bad, they just get up by so much so fast that teams have to pass pass pass to try to stay in the game. When the game is still undecided they are fairly stubborn through the air.
Should be a great game. Defense has to create some turnovers in this one. I know they’re itching to get a few and hopefully the pass rush gets home after being so close in previous games. Mahomes will wait that extra second to allow his plays to develop which will hopefully be good for the Jags.
Refs also failed to flag a delay of game that put chiefs at the goaline. That call is made I don't think they win last night
If there's a week where Ngakoue and Fowler are really, really needed, this is one of those weeks.

That said, seems like I heard Ngakoue's name plenty against the Jets, even when he wasn't getting a sack. Sounds like he definitely made the Jets QB nervous on more than one occasion
Here are some of the team comparison numbers through the first 4 games...

Defenses:
Points allowed per game- Jax 14.0 (1st), KC 28.8 (25th)
Yards allowed per game- Jax 259.2 (1st), KC 451.8 (32nd)
Sacks- Jax and KC tied, 10.0 (12th)
Interceptions- KC 2 (21st), Jax 1 (27th)
Forced Fumbles- KC 3 (15th), Jax 1 (30th)

Offenses:
Points per game- KC 36.2 (1st), Jax 22.0 (22nd)
Yards per game- KC 410.2 (8th), Jax 380.0 (15th)
Rushing yards per game- Jax 113.5 (13th), KC 113.0 (14th)
Rushing yards per attempt- Jax and KC tied, 4.3 (13th)
Passing yards per game- KC 297.2 (9th), Jax 266.5 (15th)
Passing/QBs rating- KC 126.5 (1st), Jax 93.6 (18th)
3rd down percentage- KC 49% (3rd), Jax 45% (8th)
Can't let Mahomes out of the pocket extending plays.. especially to his right. The only dual threat offense that might be better than them is the Rams. I mean between Hill, Hunt and Kelce just getting pressure isn't going to be enough. Everyone needs to have a good game the ball can go anywhere anytime. Our offense has to do it ugly and just play field position and time of possession. I think the game will rest on the offenses ability to make the Chiefs D look as bad as possible. Take the crowd out of it and just make the game really boring.. basically the same way Tennessee beat us except get more TD's than FG's.

Broncos stopped running the ball for some reason. Freeman and Lindsay did well so I expect Yeldon and Darkwa (Orleans!) to get good chunks of yards.

You saw the gameplan against the Chiefs in the 1st half of that Broncos game. Jags DLine is deeper this year so hopefully they can get pressure all game.

You have to play them like you would the Patriots and Steelers from an aggression stand point. You have to be up 2 scores on them at all times.
Trying to find some stats on how well teams play the week following their Monday Night game. I know the Jags' record is so-so, but not sure if other teams are also adversely affected.

I hope our guys play more to contain than to sack. If we can get consistent push up the middle and the ends aren't allowing him out of the pocket, he will get frustrated and make mistakes. If the ends just pin their ears back looking for sacks, he will evade and make plays. He is really quick outside of the pocket. Last night when ends over pursued and he got outside, it caused the back end to bite on the scramble and lose coverage. Big play every time.
Looks like this will be a real matchup for us.
I hope our D holds strong and keeps mahomes in his pocket as it collapses.
Has to be a good sack and turnover game.

And if there's a time for BB5 to be "The Man"...its this one.
The national media has built mahomes up to be unbeatable.....Lets prove them wrong Jaguars!

Probably a bigger issue if they're back to back on the road. KC is at home this week.

Yeah, this one concerns me as well. I think it has last years' 49ers game written all over it. Hope I'm wrong.
Another thing that should be pointed out is that Andy Reid’s teams usually peak early in the season, not late. Would feel better about this game if it were November/December

There is a 'rule' never to bet a team from Monday night against the spread the following Sunday.  But I don't think there's that large of a W/L disparity.

Honestly it isn't the same thing.  The linebackers this year are very fast and versatile compared to last year.  I appreciate Poz for how hard he played but he didn't have the coverage skills that Jack and Smith represent.  I think this could be a better position by position defense compared to last year.  This will be a fun challenge.  I'm hoping for good Bortles this week.
If everything works out ok then Henne will get destroyed by this ferocious defense.
