This is pretty much THE game of the week.
The Chiefs D allows a Drive Success Rate of 80.1%, worst in the league. Best is the Jags at 58%, average is ~70%.

How it didn’t get at least the 4 pm slot boggles my mind

The only late CBS game is the Oakland game out West.
This is FOX's double header week.
This game is so intriguing and interesting that I am afraid of watching it in fear of losing my [BLEEP] when we lost to the Patriots back in January. Going to get up early. Hit the water and hopefully catch some fish and make it back home in time to watch it of course.

I don't think it'll be a blowout though. Whether we win or lose it'll probably be a close game. I know KC's defense is hot garbage. But this is still a big time game for them at home. This game is easily an early AFC Championship game preview (potentially) if both of our teams keep it up and remain healthy.

Fun times ahead my friends.
I love this defense, but it's time for them to show up in a big game. Last two big games were AFC divisional round gave up 42 and up 20-10 4th q against Pats AFC champ give up the lead. If this D wants to be mentioned with the greats, time for them dominate. Its time to be generational great, not just really good. I believe this will be the true coming out party for this defense and have the national media going nuts.

31-10 Jags!
" Yo, Baby face Mahomes, are you nervous about facing that Jags D? "

My heart and pride really want to say Jaguar here.  Arrowhead is a really tough place to play.  Mahomes and this Chiefs offense have really been tearing it up. I believe it will be a close one in a shootout.

Giving the home field advantage  Chiefs 30 Jags 24
24-10 Jags
Mahomes will be intercepted 3 times.
2-0 Good guys.

Cowboys are on Sunday night, so no moving them from NBC no matter how bad the game against the Texans is

Philly vs Minnesota is a top NFC matchup, so NFL can't force this game to FOX

The only options were allow CBS to show a game against FOX at 4:25PM (No way that happens) or force NBC to flex the game. That should have happened, but the Cowboys may bring more eyes to NBC and the NFL can't afford to have its broadcast partners losing ratings when they are already terrible.

Logic tells me our defense will slow down the Chiefs offense enough.

Logic tells me we will have our way on offense against the worst defense in football.

My gut tells me we drop this one only because it's in Arrowhead which is probably the loudest stadium in the league, especially this year. I can already feel the penalties coming from false starts and that will kill us. We start moving backwards and just end up punting.

24-20 Chiefs

Lageman breaks down the Chiefs' offense vs. our defense.

Apologies if already posted in this thread or elsewhere.
To add a bit of betting perspective...the over under for Mahomes passing yards is 275, Blakes is 265. Looks like they expect another big day from Blake, believe that's the highest his o/u has been all year in that regard.

Receiving wise they have Cole at 56 yards, Dede at 54, Yeldon at 36.

On their side they have Kelce at 77, Tyreek at 67 and Conley at 26.
I see a lot of post about crazy good the chefs are, Andy Reid, Arrowhead, etc. fact of the matter is all of this is not foreign to 90% of the Jags players. They played at Arrowhead in 2016 against a better chefs defense. Mahomes really is the only change in that team between then and now. And we know the Jags are a better “team” than then with the right pieces in place. Aside from Mahomes throwin up a few prayers, I don’t see this one meeting the media hype. The Jags win this handily.

The shift from 2016 Alex Smith to 2018 Mahomes is a colossol change that renders that 2016 game pretty pointless analysis wise. I guess you could say they are used to arrowhead now but this atmosphere and hype will be several tiers above 2016 too.

I agree to a point, but that team was arguably better than this chefs team, especially on defense. This is the same hype you get with every new spread/scrambling QB as of late and we all know that eventually it tails off. Heck, the new rules in place now even help with the hype train. Nothing like a little basketball on grass! Eventually patting the ball, throwing cross body into traffic and throwing up no look prayers is going to catch up to him. Why not now? Also, the media hype over whether or not our defense can cover their offense is crazy. Tyreek was on that previous team and Kelce was on that previous team. I think Kelce was eventually ejected because of the defensive pressure. Anyways, the hype is unreal but I think the game itself fails to deliver. If the Jags defense plays smart and the Jags O is just halfway competent...it's a win in my opinion.

On defense absolutely. But they were also fundamentally flawed with Alex Smith. Reid did an amazing job planning around that but now he has his perfect QB and the perfect personnel to maximise him.

The hardest thing to stop about Mahomes is he has the rare combination of being special creating in chaos AND he doesn't turn the ball over or make silly mistakes much.  I do agree if anyone can stop them its us though.

Need to have our signature quarter devouring drives and hope to hell we can get off enough 3rd downs to keep it close
Baby face make poopie in pants tomorrow.
