Pro Day was 4.5 but with a 1.62 split.

So just like Yeldon  Cry

Averaged 2.9 ypc in the preseason with the Broncos 3rd string offense. That being said, some of the guys who cover the Broncos were surprised that he was cut and say that he stood out in training camp.
dont see great break away speed, but his vision is great he sees the holes and hits them fast

Give me a carbon copy of yeldon and I'll take that all day every day.

NFL draft scout has him at 4.50 for his pro day time. They're usually pretty good with the numbers, but 4.65 sounds a whole lot closer when watching his actual game speed.

He looks faster than a 4.65 to me.  He didnt have those huge holes like Yeldon and Fournette did in college which always makes a RB look faster

Well, whatever the official time may be,  he looks fast enough to do some damage spelling Yeldon and has pretty good vision.

I'm sure he was on their radar as an UDFA back in April or they wouldn't be pursuing him.

They did their due diligence on two or three street free agents and went with a rookie from another PS. A little desperate, but I get it.

Hopefully he can learn a good handful of plays really quickly and get out there Sunday for 10-15 snaps.

I actually like Yeldon as a player, just more of a reaction to the overall situation on offense.

If he can give us 80% of what Yeldon is right now I'll take it in a heartbeat.

Yeldon is more explosive and twitchy though.

And if he's another Yeldon, I'll gladly take that. Yeldon is underrated.

I'd agree completely. We don't need Williams to be the next big thing.

All we need is somebody who can spell Yeldon a little bit. Turn out some positive yards when called upon, not turn the football over and at least touch somebody when trying to pass protect. Wilds was completely lost in pass protection this past Sunday.
Leonard ran a 4.51 40 yard dash, but also clocked the fastest run during a game last season. I think this signing makes this backfield better. He lacks Corey Grant's speed, but I think has the ability to run between the tackles and catch the ball.

Fournette ran 4.5 at 240 pounds though, while coming off an ankle injury.

He also ran track in HS and holds the fastest 4A 200M time. He was also .02 seconds away from holding the fastest 100M time as well. Nobody ever questioned Fournette's long speed. He actually gets faster the farther he runs.

The 4.5 is good, but his cone time is where lineman fall. He is basically Brandon Wilds just a little more straightline speed when he gets going.
He's got a heartbeat and is faster than me, the Jaguars can't be too picky these days.
Just a guy but relatively solid. All we need right now

That's just about the point we're at with LT, RB and TE right now lol.
This is funny. One post and this guy has great vision? Geez.

4 carries for 11 yards.

If he was "basically Wilds" they probably wouldn't be bringing him in after working out three free agents.

They likely believe him to be (at the very least) smarter than Wilds in protection duty, and they also likely see him as better at finding a crease.
I haven't verified it, but my son tells me Demarco Murray is currently a free agent.
