It is alarming how often receivers have caught passes in wide open windows. Eli should of had atleast 2 or 3 more td's against us in game one but just missed. Time for Walsh to go
It's not too late to right the ship.. we're still a .500 team with the bye week and a lighter schedule ahead. The QB has just been way too comfortable against us lately. With the money spent and the several pro bowlers we have on defense and having been together now blaming complexity of the scheme holds no water.

playing zone is a bit more comunication between players if he goes here i drop off you cover him and i think that is what was missing

The bottom gif clearly shows that there's something going on with the communication/lack of trusting the other guys to do their jobs on Defense.

Maybe it's just one play, but these guys have been together long enough now to have full trust in each other. Soon as you try and do your job, as well as somebody elses, that's when the chaos happens and dudes are running wide open on you everywhere.

So a guy made a play and the other was a rookie missing an assignment. This team really misses Poz and Colvin. Still, if zone is too hard for your young players to master and alignments are an issue then just play cover 2 man all game to live and die by it. You have 2 great CBs and the nickle has been OK, just man up and hope your D can get home with an occasional blitz tossed in. Keep it simple.

This first gif has nothing to do with my reply. Just a post, in a thread of multiple posts looking at plays in that twitter feed. It just wouldn't let me post just the 2nd gif alone.

Both Harrison and Jack dropped way too deep, but the point of me posting it was Jack making extra false steps and turning his head to look back to make sure Gipson was there. He should have trust that Gipson is going to be there, which would keep him from dropping so far and being delayed to react on the wide open dump off to Zeke underneath. Mistakes always happen when players try and do somebody else's job, as well as their own.

Has nothing to do with missing Poz, as he was hardly on the field. He only played around 20% of the time. His leadership may be missing though, that's probably true.

As far as missing Colvin, I don't think that's true either. Hasn't he been hurt for the Texans? We're missing Hayden who has been hurt as well. He played well for us when he did play.

The main point that we all keep going back to... This team is way too talented on the Defense to play as much Zone and Off-Man Coverage as they play.

They need to let these guys play a lot more Press-Man on Defense. More press will only help the DL even more. They're getting plenty of pressure, for the most part, but teams are able to throw so quickly due to us playing so much zone and off-man. Easy and quick throws that would be far harder to complete against press-man and would cause QBs to hold onto the ball for that extra second. Which would ultimately turn into more sacks and bad decisions by QBs.

Zone coverage is ok here and there, or if you have a Defense that isn't loaded with talent and you're trying to limit them from being exposed. That is certainly not the case here though and I don't understand why this continues to be an issue.
