Let’s compare W-L between Bortles and Kaepernick and forget the dumpster fire that surrounded Bortles for the first 4 years.

Cause, you know... all 44 of those loses were strictly because of Bortles and not the HISTORICALLY bad head coach right?

I’m not saying Bortles is the future here, but he will have a future in the NFL as a backup somewhere if we do indeed move on from him. Can’t say that about Kaepernick regardless of the “stats”.

Subjective?!?

I loaded the analysis with supporting facts and stats.  I didn't just say "so and so sucks."

Regarding Bortles, not once did I say all or even most of the losses were solely his fault.

In fact, I've been a pretty decent Bortles defender on these boards.  The longest tenured posters on this board can tell you I have long been a proponent that QBs need held.  Newsflash:  that also applies to Kaepernick.

Do YOU care to offer any supporting facts/stats?

You may be vociferous in your disdain for Kaepernick/defense of Bortles, but passion alone does not an adequate argument make.
Bullseye,

I apologize my sarcasm may have made my response more volatile than intended.

My attempted point was that stats don’t show the whole picture and by developing an argument to prove Kaepernick is a better QB WITHOUT pointing out the deficiencies that surrounded Bortles is a Subjective argument. Yes in a Vacuum, (looking solely at stats) Kaepernick is the better QB. Was Kaepernick surrounded by a better team when he came in the league? Was he the most sacked QB for the first two seasons of his career? How many offensive coordinators did Kaepernick have in his career? You have to look at all those things in conjunction, that’s being objective.

Yes, you provided stats and even a hyperlink reference which is all good things. Those stats just don’t show you the circumstances surrounding the two (or three including Gabbert) QB but they can be indicators.

I get that we are all frustrated with the performance and sudden crash of our team, but let’s not pretend for a minute that this is solely on Blake Bortles.

As far as Kaepernick, my personal feelings towards him do not matter when comparing the two quarterbacks so my “disdain” for him is irrelevant.
