Fournette is mad cus he got showed up by Yulees 2nd round pick, from the best sec school, the best north south power runner in the game today, Derrick the Beast Henry

I will say one thing.
Mahomes has Hill, Watkins/Benjamin (don't @ me), and Kelce. (He also HAD Hunt)
Watson has Hopkins, Miller, D. Thomas, and Fuller
We have Westbrook and (sometimes) Fournette.
Yeah this gets overlooked. I'll take the coaching in KC over ours (regular season coaching). We have not drafted and developed well especially on offense. It is sad.

Watson and Fuller haven't even been able to stay on the field together consistently yet. (Fuller was battling hamstring issues before he even tore his ACL.
Demaryrius Thomas is just another guy at this point of his career.. (Think A.J. with the Colts/Titans), he's a shell of his former self and his speed is gone.
Miller has been considered just a average RB during his time here.
Hopkins.. I'll give you that, he's a beast.. but outside of him the WR position has been decimated with injuries. Fuller is gone and promising rookie KeKe Coutee can't even stay on the field without pulling a hamstring. That's the only reason why Demaryrius Thomas is even here. We also had to sign a return specialist off the Eagles practice squad a couple of weeks ago due to our WR injuries and the guy ended up leading the team in receptions last week.
Point is Watson hasn't been surrounded by this all world talent at the skill positions.. he's had to make due with what he has (outside of Hopkins), including while operating behind one of the worst offensive lines in the league. The potential to have a Rams/Chiefs explosive skill position heavy offense is there, but our explosive HR hitting WRs (Fuller and Coutee) haven't been able to stay healthy.. maybe next year. Offensive line will also have to be bolstered through the draft. (Couldn't do it last year, because we didn't have a 1st or 2nd round pick)
Maybe the OC pointed out that when running towards the line and to the left is one man to beat to find a lot of green grass, and to right is a pile of bodies, LF should try the left.

Maybe the zero holes created by the O line? They created no space, he had zero chance of doing anything with that lack of blocking.

Everytime I looked up he was being hit 1 yard behind the line of scrimmage - he had no chance to run left or right.
Leonard Fournette is already a bust. I mean selecting an RB in the top 5 means even if he was getting 1200 & 10tds a year (which 2nd-7th rounders routinely do in todays NFL) he'd still be a bust... but he hasn't even reached those pedestrian numbers.
I'm a 4nette fan and understand its hard to run behind 3rd string olineman but until teams have to respect the passing game, its going to be harder every week to get the run game going.. One thing he lacks is the ability to make something out of nothing.. MJD did it all the time even against 9-10 in the box.
This season man.... We looked so good against pats and jets. Who knew we'd lose so many players to IR.
Ill be optimistic and just believe this season had to happen to land our franchise QB in the draft. We'll get our starters back on the line and ASJ and I think we will bounce back. I just want a real X and O play caller on offense. So screaming at an OC that managed 15pts in 2 games lol is ok wit me.
Todd Gurley averaged 3.2 yards his 2nd season then they fixed their oline

Dude I don't care. Even if you had a QB and one reliable target you already light years ahead of our clown show. We haven't been able to count on a wide receiver in 10 plus years. You guys went from one talent to the next.
The worst part of this is that our best RB is going to leave in FA and he's going to get a really good contract. Some team is going to sign Yeldon and laugh all the way to the bank, while we're stuck with useless Fournette and Hyde.
Yeldon is easily our best RB and it isn't even a question.

I'd like to see Yeldon extended if possible although I know the cap makes it tricky. He's just such a great change-of-pace from any traditional runner like Fournette and Hyde, and he's got that third downs role down pat. He did miss a block on third downs this past game, but you don't see that very often from him. That said, he's not better than Fournette as a feature back and wouldn't have done any better on those goalline plays. Fournette just needs to stay healthy so he can stay consistent, as do the OLs in front of him.
As for Hyde, I scratch my head trying to understand the trade. I guess they needed insurance with Fournette out so much, but I'm not overly impressed with the guy.
Fournette is an absolute trashcan... 3.7 career ypc. Awesome #4 overall pick by Coughlin. Great!

What are you even talking about? Fournette is a typical power back (feature back if that's what you want to label him as, but I've yet to see it) and couldn't even get 2-3 yards, on 3-4 attempts at the goal line... He has no field vision at all and constantly misses holes, which he missed multiple lanes on those goal line attempts. As well as multiple other rushing attempts during that game and throughout the year.
He's nothing more than a straight line RB who relies on huge holes. He can't create, or make plays on his own and he never will. If he doesn't have a straight down hill, wide open running lane, he's garbage and it's been shown constantly throughout his short 2 seasons. Even back in college honestly...
And Fournette just needs to stay healthy??? Hes sat on the sideline for literally all of this season... What are you talking about he just needs to stay healthy? He just had almost 2 weeks off and came out looking like complete garbage.. There's no injury excuse for him anymore, that ended over a month ago. He just isn't that good.
I don't think I've ever seen a 240lb RB as scared to hit a hole as Fournette was this past Thursday night, especially in a short yardage and in a goal line situation... It was pathetic.
I have no doubts that Yeldon gets a TD on at least one of those 4 goal line attempts. Yeldon constantly makes something out of nothing and has did it his entire career here. I have no doubts that he finds one of those little holes and scores on 1 of those 4 attempts.
You act as though Fournette is constantly getting stuffed, but that's not at all true. He consistently picks up yards running right up the middle often making 12-yard scampers look effortless. Yeldon has to get outside to be effective.

Maybe you didn't see it, but anybody who watched TNF, just watched Fournette get stuffed 3-4 straight times when he only needed 2-3 yards for a TD (in which we would have taken the lead in the game if we scored, which then turned into a 99 yard TD for them..).. He had 3-4 chances to gain 2-3 yards and failed every single time.... He literally looked like Toby Gerhart... The only difference was the number on their backs and the color of their skin. Everything else looked identical...
And yea... Yeldon goes outside to be effective at times because he isn't brain dead like Fournette is, who just runs straight into the back of his OL every single play because he's nothing more than a down hill, straight line guy...

I've been saying since months before we drafted the guy that he has limited vision and very lackluster lateral agility.
His inability to improvise was also a topic I was largely bashed for discussing at that time.
Here's a good example from the goal line stand on Thursday. Now - this play is asking something of your back that is not routine - but when you draft one that early he needs to be able to see this stuff- at least occasionally.
I can count on one hand the number of times I've seen Fournette take advantage of an open lane like this one that wasn't part of the play design.

Man. What a waste of a pick this guy has been..
He has talent as a powerback, but how many other guys in the draft could they have found with similar traits? That DIDN'T come in the first round? IN THE TOP FIVE.
I'm not sure what the answer would have been at the pick, aside from Fournette, but I hope this whole situation just serves as stinging reminder; running backs are important, but not at a premium drafting position.

Granted - That hole wouldn't have been as giant had he cut back because Woodyard is keying on the RB - but Shatley was there to block Woodyard, so... likely still an easy TD if he sees that lane and cuts to it.

[BLEEP]. Leonard Fournette doesn't have an offensive line in front of him. No one in the history of the NFL could make decent yards behind that offensive line that is out there now.
Fournette is a bum, he doesn't change much when he's in. I've seen both Yeldon and Grant pull off runs like he has, hell even Hyde has too. He doesn't bring much more to the game when he's in. Anyone with a pro bowl caliber offensive line is going to look good, well except maybe Trent Richardson.
