"tanking" is not in my vocabulary.
You play to WIN.....if you lose ....so be it.

I was asking if the titan hatred of jags fans was strong enough to want to lose if winning benefitted the titans. I posted it in the jaguars forum because it's a jaguars game we're talking about, and i didnt want to be considered trolling, or goading..
Sorry if my presence here hurts anyones feelings. I wasnt here to boast or troll or goad..
Please, by all means, delete the thread. Delete me if you need to feel better. Good luck next year

Sorry your feelings are hurt.  If you can't see how speculating about how bad it bothers Jags fans to lose to a division rival only to affect another division rival's playoff hopes could be perceived as trolling  - I can't feel bad about it.  It just comes off as some petty trolling to me. You oughta' be able to get that.

The whole thing is pretty borderline - which is why the thread stands and I gave you a friendly warning instead of the formal variety.

Your posting is normally fine - but when it's not thumbtack week around here and you just want to pour salt on wounds - you shouldn't expect open arms.

I'm not a mod, obviously, but I saw no harm in the question as posed. The season is a dang wash, and I imagine it's a thought that popped into most Jags fans' minds, anyhow.

The posts in response to the original question showed that few, if any, took offense to the OP or the question asked.

Thanks for deferring to the informal correction as opposed to more punitive actions, NYC. I think it does us all good to understand the thought processes involved in keeping this board a fun and friendly place to discuss football-type things.

It's never my wish to ruffle feathers. But it's important to note that as many folks here are open-armed to opposing fans and their contributions - many members are firmly opposed to it and remind the mods about it on a fairly regular basis. Any actions I take to squelch what may be perceived as trolling does not come from a personal agenda - but rather the desire to serve the greater interests of our membership.
As the Jags must pick a QB in round 1, the higher the draft pick; the better. So, unfortunately, I would rather they look good playing the last games, giving the young on the roster playing time, and lose in a highly competitive fashion.
