Times like now I wish Newt or Christie was the pick to get up there and make Kaine look like a fool.

Kaine just looks like a liar. Perfect running mate for Clinton.

Moderator isn't giving Pence appropriate time to reply to Kaines lies and quickly moving on to next topic.

Pence is certainly more prepared than Trump. I'd say Kaine is a bit better at getting his talking points across however.

Just popping in to say this moderator is ridiculous and the progressive bias of these questions and the loaded questions directed at Pence are unbelievable.

Pence sounds like an adult with sounds policies and compassion.

 

Kaine sounds like a meme-spouting HuffPo commenter.

 

Moderator lets Kaine interrupt Pence whenever she wants, but gets onto Pence when he interrupts Kaine. Moderator also never follows up on Kaine's totally made-up bull hockey, but will immediately follow-up on any of Pence's statements. Where is JJ at? Need him to vent with me.

Pence is doing a decent job, unfortunately Trump has made so many ridiculous indefensible statements its put him in a difficult spot.

Kaine is the kid in your third-grade class who knows the answer, knows he knows the answer, knows you know he knows the answer, and is determined to make sure that he's the one and only source of that answer for the entire class.

 

Pence is about as charismatic as a block of wood. Seems to be about as knowledgeable.

 

The moderator's a 7, maybe a 7.5, but her ability to go off-script and ask intelligent follow-up questions is roughly 2/10, would not moderate again.

Actually she said he had 30 seconds and had previously tried to move on, Pence tried to squeeze it in a bit late. Bit of a fail there.

Seriously, what is gained about rehashing the emails at this point? That\s campaign trail bulletin board material at this point. Bringing it up in a debate, especially in a VP debate where Tim Kaine can't possibly add anything new to the discussion, is pointless and draws us away from the real questions. Will Kaine get his lollipop at the end of class? Will Pence ever get the emotion chip that Dr. Soong promised him? Will the moderator actually moderate anything, or just sit there being shouted over?

Kaine while being a bit annoyingly smug is pretty smart. To get that topic linked to Trumps taxes unbelievable.

An hour into the debate and Pence has spent a total of 5 minutes actually answering the questions.

Ok, you win this one. Gotta hand this to you: it's damn peculiar that the moderator instantly intervened and told everyone to move on when the emails came up, but she's letting Kaine have a field day on Trump's taxes.

 

*Edit: and she tries to cut things off when Pence responds. Curious indeed.

Trump and anybody associated with him will never get a fair shake in these things. It is despicable.
