Determining factors for this season's success in order of importance to me:

• Cam Robinson's knee and development
  
• Taylor playing well at  RT 
  
• Potential rookie or journeyman performance at WLB
  
• DeFilippo's playbook and play-calling utilizing roster talent according to skill set
  
• Development and performance from Oliver and Swaim at TE
  
• Foles staying healthy
  
• Fournette staying bought in and healthy
  
• Taven Bryan being effective at the 3T
  

TE is my biggest concern. From what I have seen, guys like deFillipo can hide weaknesses in the o-line with play calling, but they need good TE play to do it.

That Foles can produce like he did with the Eagles.  My only concern.

• Foles' development with this current offensive unit and staff
  
• Fournette's durability and maturity 
  
• Inexperience at Safety
  
• Inexperience at Outside Linebacker
  
• Overall health of the offensive lineman group
  

Those are really my five primary concerns for the year so far. Which I think most of us on here all share. But most of it hinges on Foles' and Flip on offense. You can overcome a lot of the other issues listed below him if you put enough points on the board.

Without a consistent solid run game, Foles and the pass game personnel is not good enough to carry the offense for a season. Maybe a few game stretches but not a significant stretch of games.

Everything else is workable and hideable

Let's include the play of our new safeties, Bouye, new nickel back and the interior offensive line play. The concerns are plentiful but health overall will be the key to our success.

1. Our RT situation especially knowing we face JJ Watt week two.
   
2. Our FS situation especially knowing we face Mahomes and Kelce week one.
   
3. Our WR situation especially knowing we'll have to keep up with the Chiefs week one.
   
4. Raquell Armstead and Quincy Williams  <--a whole lot is being counted on by these two
   
5. The front office's ability to extend Ngakoue and to keep the future core of their defense intact
   
6. Tavon Bryan's ability to start with nobody really for him to even rotate with (unless maybe Campbell rotates in more)
   
7. Do we have legit return specialists on ST?
   
8. Our TE situation resting on high expectations for Oliver, Swaim and O'Shag including their ability to play the FB role
   
9. Depth at CB and along the OL
   

Minor concerns that didn't make the list include Telvin Smith's future, Leanard Fournette staying on the field, Robiskie's ability to develop Armstead, Cam's ACL recovery and Marrone improving on his game time management and ability to keep control of the locker room.

There are rotational players at DT to spell Taven when he needs it. 
There are four Defensive Tackles on the roster behind Dareus, Jones, Bryan and Ankou. One of those guys will likely show enough at 3 tech to back up Taven Bryan. 
When you've got Campbell, Allen, Ngakoue and Dareus all working along along the line rotationally, it's not like you need to ask the world of your back-up 3 tech.  Just get in there and get some push. 

Westbrook and Chark are our primary return specialists, and Cunningham has experience there too.  All are "legit." 
There's also the undrafted kid, Walker from Boston College who looks promising in that role if he can stick on the 53.

I picture Abry and Dareus in a rotation at NT. At 3-tech I can see Campbell coming in a lot more, but otherwise, it's basically Taven and then either Ankou our their 7th round pick. That's a concern for me. I'd rather see a guy like McCoy starting with Taven rotating in, but hopefully it works out.

None of those names exactly thrill me as return specialists.

Another concern is the number of rookies starting. Coughlin used to rarely start rookies, but now we might have Jawaan Taylor, Josh Oliver, Quincy Williams and perhaps a rookie FS. If Walker wins the return job, that's another starter on ST. Plus we have key rookie backups at QB and RB with Gardner and Armstead. Just saying the overall number of rookies being relied on is somewhat concerning. Hopefully, this is one of those epic great rookie classes.

Dareus will rotate with Bryan at 3T. He'll play both NT and 3T. They already said that they want to get him more involved at rushing the passer this season.

The only way Wilson isn't starting at FS is due to an injury.

It doesn't really matter if the back up QB is a rookie or not. Whoever wins the back up job, if they're starting/playing in any games this season (unless we're up by 40) it means we're in big trouble regardless of who it is. Tom Moore said it best when asked why Peyton Manning's back ups never get any reps. "Fellas, if 18 goes down we're [BLEEP], and we don't practice [BLEEP]". Obviously Foles isn't anywhere close to Manning, but the quote still stands. It never ends up being good if your back up QB is playing.

RB is the easiest/quickest transitions as a rookie. They can either play, or they can't and it doesn't take long to see/figure that out. A rookie RB should be at the very bottom of the list of worries.
